The stewards in the South Stand are a right pain in the arris. I have a Season Ticket in row 45 and if they're not telling you to sit down, people behind you are.

We weren't even five seconds into the Bayern Munich game and the old slapper a row behind me tapped me on the shoulder and told me to sit down.

The stewards don't even bother trying to get people in the first 25 odd rows to sit down, but don't mind throwing people out who are sat higher in the stand.

If safe standing is introduced, I doubt it will make one bit of difference those in what would be the safe-standing area, already stand up anyway.

I support standing sections in stadiums nowadays. A lot of people question me when I state this as they know I attended hillsborough but stadiums are designed completely different nowadays and the fans safety is continually looked at. The policing is professional and the use of CCTV's can stop any issues instantly. As you mentioned Sandy - everyone has a seat now and people can't move around as freely as they did before and sections can't be overcrowded.

I think it would create a better atmosphere as well. I have stood in the standing section at Celtic and it reminded me of the old days standing on the kop without having to wee where you were stood either as you can get out if needed.

Hope you were quick-footed enough to avoid Aurier's spit, Sandy.

Was thinking about the same thing last night, thinking what it'd be like if the whole South Stand was terraced with railings. It was like a flash back, for a 2nd I presumed the SS was all standing

To be fair it was probably gum and he got hit in the back during celebrations.

They should allow safe standing. It’s actually safer than having people standing in a seat space which happens as you have the rail.

Btw I only mean allowing it in a rail seating section.

WE need an atmosphere. One of bouncing. The SS needs be allow standing. So many away fans now have embarrassed us, Ajax, Olympiacos, all jubilant, shirts off, looking ravaging and they get away with it.

Not even wumming but we need to allow flares and smoke canisters. Awww yeah, now I have tingles down my spine.

Got you Edbo, I am often in the South Stand, Rows 60 Odd, and they still stand, but are often told to sit down, Obviously if the fella in front is standing, then you have to stand, which as I said I like anyway. No Rails in that upper part though, so I suppose Health and Safety come into play a bit more.

I think we need to have a family only section and group all the regular and louder fans together. The atmosphere isnt what it can be and songs die out after 2 or 3 goes. We need south stand to include as many season ticket holders/ loud/ nutters to add some vibe.

Bring back the drum,

I think the problem is everyone went into the south stand as they want to be in the atmosphere but lots don’t actually want to contribute to it. Think the prices cheaper in parts too.

I’m not a huge singer so I take myself over to the north stand where it’s more sporadic which suits me more.

We don't have a group of 'Ultras'. Some teams abroad have drums or someone leading chants with a megaphone etc.

What happened to that 1882 lot?

Was at the game on Tuesday and in parts we were very quiet. Although when a song does get going the noise from the south stand is unreal and a sight to behold

Never mind safe standing, I'm yet to find a area were it's safe to sit without all these over hypped idiots jumping up every minute even when the ball is the other end of the stadium, if I stand up no one can see I'm 6' 4", but prefer to sit relax not at all hypo
