uber pay millions to TFL to operate, and ultimately TFL want the money.. so the license move is just political move pre election as the black cabbies (mostly legitimate for the vote) are unhappy at business being taken by Uber (mostly not legitimate to vote).

once election out the way the appeal will result in Uber keeping license, probably at a higher cost.

Piers Morgan always champions the Black Cabs so for that reason alone it's Uber for me. Black Cabs are a rip off!

yesterday i put on my indicators to let them know i wanted to reverse pack into a space... the caaaant driven right up to my bumper, and refused to move. facking caaaant. i did the waaanker sign in the rear view mirror and he started beeping at me. so i put the car in park, in the middle of the street, and went and got a something from the newagent opposite. took my time. he was fuming, which is great. absolute facking caaant. so if you was stuck in a traffic jam round covent garden way at about 5pm last night, i can only apologise

I try not to get involved with traffic incidents these days. Not worth stressing about imo.

I find a good shout on my way home from work is a great stress reliever

Don't use uber in Amsterdam. Every time I called one they would arrive on the opposite side of the canal from me and then charge me for not showing. Happened 4 times in one night. It had nothing to do with smokin da dope i tell you

Uber users you do realise that they know where you live, have your bank account details, and other personal details, will they sell them on one day.?

might be a bit parky in the back though

London black taxi all day over Uber. They do a lot of charity work for kids taking many across to Euro Disney each year at their cost.
You also get a decent level of conversation

black cabs are truly extortionate. i went from holborn to aldgate the other day and it cost me 15 pound !!
