A real shock. He was a tremendous bowler and an enjoyable pundit.

That has come out of the blue. Looked his usual self in the Ashes. I just thought he was axed like Botham and Gower.
That’s so sad
Oh really!
I liked him, funny when he used to just cane Aussie cricketers like Mitchell Johnson
RIP
thats a shocker btw
legend on the debate show
RIP
Shocked and very sad to hear this news. Brilliant fast bowler every young cricket fan in the 70s and 80s aspired to. RIP Sir Bob.
I’ve just heard this. What a terrible shock. He looked poorly of late but even so, I had no idea he was really ill.
Much admired throughout the cricketing world and his thunderous bowling at Headingley in 1981 put the Australians to the sword. It doesn’t matter how many times I watch clips from that Test, it just cheers me no end.
There’s bound to be loads in the news over the coming days. Such a shame to hear this sad news.

When my hair were long, my mother told me u look like him, Magnificent fast bowlers, few times I did not agreed with his opinions but thats life.
Didn’t see much of him bowling but great cricketer and especially his punditry was awesome. Will be hugely missed. Had no idea he wasn’t well.
So, so sad
Was a great bowler, I only caught the end of his career, but was quite fearsome even then.
He struggled a little as a commentator in the 90s, but his recent round ups on the studio (Debate/Verdict) have been very entertaining and frequently spot on.
He will be sorely missed.
Prostate cancer I believe..
Horrible disease.. He made me laugh on occasion with his honesty.
