Re MPs I notice that it's only those who earn over £80,000 a year will pay more tax, MPs get £77,000 pa.

I eventually went for Labour in the end. I was adamant my vote would be going to the Dems when the GE was called but I think Swinson is a bigger nonce than Weare

Theyll catch up afyer giving themselves a payrise every year Im sure. They also all have second jobs (which Corbyn wants to ban) raking in millions in back handers and speeches.

2001 - This is the first UK General Election to be held while Chelsea are not top of the Premier League since June 2001, when Manchester United led the table. Chelsea were top of the league for the 2005, 2010, 2015 & 2017 UK General Elections. Red.

Save your moaning about fairness for MP's having their food and drink subsidised to the tune of £4,000,000 a year or royalty bypassing a billion in tax.

My point is my Mum isn't rich, inflation and property prices have made ordinary working people millionaires and that inheritance tax, which was meant originally to only apply to 'rich' people, will now be extended under Corbyn to bring even more people into the net.

Check, your parents net-worth, and work out how much you will end up paying to Corbyn to fund your 'free' broadband.

Again improper use of an apostrophe.

So youre asking how its fair being taxed on earnings that you have had nothing to do with and that were a result of the countries economic system?

Pull the ladder up Jack, Im okay.

If your mum has a net worth over £1,000,000, she’s in the world’s richest 0.5%.

She’s rich man. Stinking rich.

Just 1% of her wealth could feed a family of four in Ethiopia for 18 years.

You don't pay it to Corbyn, you pay it to the state. That is the people who pay for the NHS, welfare, emergency services, armed forces etc.
Inheritance tax is one of the fairest, as you have done nothing to earn it.

Humanity has been absurd since the dawn of time....

If the environmentalists are as right as they think they are, we won't need to worry about it too long now I guess

I think human consciousness is a tragic misstep in evolution. We became too self aware, nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself. We are creatures that should not exist by natural law…We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self, a secretion of sensory, experience, and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody is nobody

Is it wrong to assume that as a general rule of thumb: those who live in a Tory majority area live are comparatively successful people?

And further, is it wrong for me to judge those who don't as being rather less successful in life?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, and most certainly yes, regardless of how you define “successful”.

I know some incredibly unsuccessful wealthy people, and incredibly successful relatively poor people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My sister and husband are rushing through a £4m land sale in case Corby gets in and they have to pay extra tax. She still buys whoops food at the supermarket
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wot?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the nature of a class system of the arbitrary classification of success. Millions in the bank but eat tesco value mash potato as opposed to finest butter mash from waitrose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure which category you're putting them in there.

"I know some incredibly unsuccessful wealthy people."
Well your sis is wealthy but don't see how her cheaping out on food with millions on the bank would put her in the unsuccesful category.

"incredibly successful relatively poor people."
Well that's not her.

If your point is 'don't judge a book by its cover' then yes, I agree.

But my 'wot' was cos of the comment you replied to saying your sister is rich. Unless you're equating food choice with success.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the problem that the perception of success is that of wealth.Folk working themselves into a grave. Father in law divorced when he finally became a wealthy director in his 50s and a broken relationship with his kids. Definitely a flaw in the social system

It’s money that your mum won’t be able to spend, and that you’ve done absolutely fack all to earn.

Personally, I’m a believer in the concept of the meritocracy.

Inheritance tax should be set at 100%.
