The opposition to the war in Iraq (inside and outside parliament) came from the left, in a large part from the people who now control the Labour party. In fact, hatred of Blair as a result of that decision to go to war was one of the direct factors that led to the leftward drift of the Labour party and the election of Corbyn.
You can disagree with Corbyn's politics if you like. You can say Blair's Labour party and those who voted to re-elect him had blood on their hands. You can say you don't care about Iraq and the victims of our various foreign misadventures.
But arguing that anyone who is against unleashing mass violence abroad should vote against Corbyn's Labour because of Iraq is the weakest argument I've seen on this thread. It suggests that deciding to vote Tory comes first and looking for reasons to justify it comes second.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Robbing has been bleating on for weeks about the Tories having let thousands die under there watch.Hence the bringing up of Blair's Labour party outdoing them 100 fold when it comes to parties having blood on there hands.
Just putting Robbing in his place that the party he supports when last in power caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didnt vote for them though so what's your point?
Am I right in thinking you're unable differentiate between the two?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You support the party now don't you despite their terrible recent past, yet you fixate on the wrongs of the Tories.
BTW before you label me as you do with others I neither support the Conservatives or Labour and I live in a constituancy that has a 20,000 majority so my vote tomorrow is going to be a spoilt ballot as my vote counts for nothing and always will do in the area I live.
In fact about 80% of people who vote tomorrow will have no real say in who gets elected.Only around 20% of the population live in marginal seats were their vote actually counts

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes she was born in Poland but has lived here since she was about 6 (English dad and Polish mum)
Every northerner who says they can't vote Corbyn, and will vote Tory this time because Brexit and all that, remember this:
Out of the 10 most deprived council areas, 9 have seen cuts in their government funding almost 3 times the average
https://fullfact.org/economy/have-most-deprived-councils-seen-biggest-reductions-funding/age!!!
Read an article the other day, that the average decrease in government funding had been 23%. But that on average the wealthiest (Tory) constituencies had only seen a 16% downfall compared to an average 31% downfall in the deprived areas.
Tories looking after Tories!
Remember the 1.6 billion stronger town funds (25million extra funding to help the most deprived areas) just before the elections. Although 80% of the most deprived towns are labour, more than half of the money went to Tory towns. In particular marginal towns where the Tories are in danger of losing a MP. Some of these towns aren't even in the top 300 of most deprived towns in England!
Whereas Birkenhead, the no.2 most deprived town in England, as well as several other in the top10, didn't receive anything from this fund! Birkenhead, that did get lots of money from the EU helping do up the town centre!!

As is using Blair's foreign policy to deride Corbyn, who opposed Blair's war crimes.
It never ceases to amaze me how people who exhibit such remarkable ignorance of issues can simultaneously be so outspoken and confidence about them.

Intrigued to know if that remain voter who would now vote leave in genuine. And if so, the reasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've spoken to one who said they would switch based on the EU's "treatment" of the UK in negotiations... cutting off one's nose to spite one's face...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've heard this argument before. Astonishing stupidity. It literally proves the argument for Remain. The EU had the stronger negotiating position, and they used it well. They're not going to just hand out freebies to the UK, they don't owe us a bean, and outside the EU we have no negotiating power whatsoever.
We weren't mistreated, we were just out-negotiated by a stronger coalition. Which is exactly why we should remain.
Oh, I voted Remain if that wasn't clear. I still haven't seen a credible example of how we'd be better off outside the EU, and it's been 3.5 years.
