is this article a wind up?
he has been our most consistent player for about two seasons.
the OP cant watch spurs much
OP - you've made the same mistake as doo doo's in not justifying your opinion. I wouldn't question your love for the club what I do question is your ability to reason and accept logical debate. Unless you provide examples of when Benny is "often at fault for our opponents goals" etc. it just comes across as a knee-jerk reaction to one bad game.
I do watch him every game and he everything a good left back should. He blocks crosses, wins tackles and usually provides a safe outball. His preference for beating the attacking layer before playing the ball out is a worry but he rarely fails. Of course when he does the result can be damaging.
Against Liverpool he looked disinterested for much of the first half but I put this down to him having little to do. He put a great ball through to bale which Hansen praised on motd. He also set up his mate Ade's second goal.
You're entitled to your opinion but I don't agree with it.

If you can't give any reasons for your opinion it's most likely it's ill-judged and not as worthwhile as those that can back up their opinion with logical arguments
Worst article ever!
Benny has been our most consistant defender over the last 3 season!
You waited 20 games to post this article didn't you? If Benny has more bad games you would have been posting week in week out, but it is an indictment of his consistency that these kind of articles are few and far between. 1 star for you mate

If he was fair he would have posted when he Benny had a good game, but no, he waits till he makes a mistake, which under the circumstances of his illness you have to cut Benny some slack. So would the poster of this article put his hands when Benny has a good solid game? Your hands would be up a long time might i add...
What about the good work he does for the local community?
See the OP in a few months then when Benny messes up again

Bale's left boot (U9410)
Was watching the Formula 1 but couldn't respond.
He rarely does make a mistake but when he does it has led to a goal or at least a massive opportunity for the other team to score, mainly because if any defender makes a mistake it's normally costly!
I'm not saying he always makes mistakes, it's normally just a bad pass like yesterday or just a rash challenge. Last season he had a little dodgy spell but soon got over it and didn't get any praise, only gets noticed when he makes a mistake.
But people jump on his back when he makes the slightest mistake, otherwise he is a consistent quality left back. I've always rated him and backed him on the old 606 when he was struggling with form and injuries that he would come good and he has.
Not bad for a left back that cost us 3.5 million and looked malnourished when he first arrived! Used to make me laugh how skinny he looked in his baggy top
There are better left backs about but what would be the point signing a left back when BAE is quality, settled and spending over 10 million on a left back would be a waste of money. Also Rose showed potential at the end of last season.
People slate him just because he doesn't get lots of assists, but as he's said in an interview he doesn't need to get forward when Bale is ahead of him!
I like BAE, I'm not jumping on his back
Fair do's doo doo's
I think we could do with cover on the left generally - when Benny was rumoured to be out for the game we had either Bassong or Bale at LB. Neither is an ideal solution as Bassong has looked shaky for awhile and we need Bale's pace on the wing.. also we haven't got another dedicated LM. We'll do ok this season injuries depending, but i'd still like to see Levy strengthen that area sometime soon
we have danny danny rose though.
hes just injured
Good call - I hope we get to see him in action again soon
What about cover for Bale though?
What about cover for Townsend?
Seriously though, I hope the kids come good - they're certainly going to get a chance to prove themselves in Europe this season
Vargas might be worth a punt, Arsenal apparently bidding 10 million in January. Can play left back and left midfield so would add extra cover, but then again I've never seen him play
Rose seems like he's going to struggle with injuries through his career at the moment, still young so might grow out of it.
Raised your average to 1.22
Harry's said before that he sees Bale's best position as LB, Townsend looks a great prospect but his end-product isn't quite there.. I guess we'll see what happens at the end of the season
Let's face it another striker is probably higher on the list - with Pav's shocking form so far - unless Gio or Kane makes the step up.
