Suarez in his best season was arguably the best individual season I’ve seen from a PL striker.
31 goals and numerous assists while missing the start of the season and didn’t take pens either.
Almost dragged an unfancied side to the title.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't say he almost dragged an unfancied side to the title. That team had Sturridge who got over twenty goals, Coutinho, Sterling and Gerrard who got nominated for player of the season and voted into team of the year after moving back into the holding role. Defence wasn't great and ultimately the scoring more than the opposition tactic couldn't get us over the line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The 25/1 odds at the start of the season suggests unfancied though. No doubt there was plenty of quality in that side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well yes we weren't in the top three or four favourites but I would say unfancied would mean more than that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. Doubt you’d have been anywhere near as close without Suarez though.
He was brilliant that one season. But Greenwood will surpass him.

RVP was incredible in his title season, a privilege to watch.
Suarez was quite good too in his nearly season, just dirt though.

For those of you who think football began in the premier league era, let me tell you that any discussion on united strikers that doesn't include Denis Law isn't worth having.
Amazing player who would score for fun against today's defenders.

Overrated. Only ever scored over 12 goals two or three times in the PL, which is awful compared to the best, considering how long he played in England.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He isn't overrated in terms of his ability. He was a very talented player who averaged a goal every other game and chipped in with a fair number of assists (5 per season).
He was injury prone. If you are going to base a player's ability on his injury record then go ahead, but it seems like a stupid way of judging a player to me.
I'd personally have ahead of Ruud in terms of what he brings to the team. Ruud was an exceptional finisher, but we relied in him too much as a focal point and became a better team after he left.
