I didn’t want to go through purely to avoid more games and especially a 2 legged semi in January
I am a little disappointed with some of the boys, yes their young lads but they should be close to prem level at a club like ours
Elliot looks the standout player for us and one or two others have done ok but most have poor, was expecting big things from Van Den Berg but he’s way off the required level

But as i said, the scorelines a bit cruel on the lads, punished for each error made and a freak goal. They've probably been the better team or atleast even otherwise stats back it up too. Experience is everything at the back.

we had a hard commitment mandated by fifa.

the u23 level is vastly below the first team level. 8ts not even league 1 standard.
we have played a really really weak team to embaress the authorities rather than withdraw which imo would have been the proper thing to do.
our hand was forced here.
the damage that could be done to a few careers is massive though. a few who might have made a pro career will probably not and van den berg and ki cpuld be badly damaged.
I noted parry and his two faced talk yesterday. cant let this happen again he said.
he knew exactly what would happen and was trying to get out in front of it.
