2) Dunno. I'd probably go with your Golf argument though I've never watched a round(?) of golf in my life.
3) Mike Tyson. Personal stuff aside, it was just art.
1. Golf - Don't watch as much as I used to, mainly due to having kids who watch cr.p on the TV. Used to play (badly) but again due to kids, don't get much of a chance.
2. Golf, for reasons you give.
3. Sorry, but it's Tiger as well. bit of a cliche but tiger changed Golf with the he played the game. Got me into Golf, as well as thousands other, I expect.
I hope he does break Jack's record, but it'll be tough.

1. Boxing
2. Sprinting, specifically the 100m. The difference between first and second place is often milliseconds, hence very few have retained their title.
3. Muhammad Ali
1. Cricket
3. Federer/Ronnie O'Sullivan
Not sure about 2..

I know it’s all a matter of opinion but I would argue with number 2 on your list. Was it really that difficult for a guy as gifted as Usain Bolt to beat the rest consistently?

I don’t know much about cricket but enough to know it is a team sport.
1. Golf because I play it and love the game,
2. Golf because it is soul destroying. I can play a TV shot one minute and put the next three shots in the lake.
3. Probably Eric Bristow because he was cocky, arrogant, flashy but could back it all up.

Is darts a sport?

Another debate but something you can say about a few “sports”. Is snooker a sport? Is driving a vehicle a sport? Matter of opinion I guess.
I think some of the sports that are hardest to succeed at are those with the greatest financial disparity.
Athletes, for example. Such a huge commitment, such a fragile career and tough for those without big sponsorship.

No, because as you said he was gifted.
I can't argue with you though, as I know next to nothing about golf.

I respect your opinion but I’d argue it’s easier for a guy like Bolt who was so much better than the rest to beat them in 10 second race rather than say Tiger beating the rest over a 20 hour plus format.
You could have Pool as number 2? One bad break and it's game over. Dominating Pool over a period of time doesn't happen.

Is that you KP?
Boxing. It's the only one I can watch with a few beers. Tried it with snooker and fell asleep.
Difficult to answer. I've never put myself through the training boxers and tennis players have to go through to keep themselves in top shape but I imagine it to be extremely difficult. So one of them.
Ronnie
Martial arts is probably the most difficult to sustain greatness.
Every time there is a potential Goat they get beaten. Too many styles and potential weaknesses to be the best at everything.
Done a lot of sports.
However.
Golf is the hardest sport I have played.
It's not just the technique and ability required to not feck up in 18 holes, which if you even do a club medal is very, very hard. Its the mindset and concentration required in both medal and match play to keep your round alive and ignore the other fecker.
Having said that J P McEnroe is my favourite individual sports player of all time.

Exactly. One mistake can be crucial in Golf unlike most other sports.
Boxing. Pure art at lower weights.
Tennis.
Usain Bolt
1. Boxing - So much skill, discipline and toughness needed to be successful in it. It also can't be overstated the importance it has in deprived communities. As well as raising some kids out of poverty through turning pro, it's a great outlet for kids in those areas.
2. Golf - I golf, rarely, but has to be the most difficult sport I've ever seen in terms of consistency. Even the best can be made to look foolish on a regular basis.
3. Because of the above probably Tiger Woods. Never seen anyone dominate an individual sport like that, where so many variables are at play.
Mule roping - a proper sport.
