You want to talk red cards. Talk of the keepers horrendous challenge on Alonso for the penalty, had that happened in midfield it would be a red or the Sissoko clattering of the keeper which was terrible and vindictive yet you guys want to talk of Rudigers inside arm. You can lap it up as an excuse, it's what Mourinho does to deflect from a defeat in which he was outsmarted and outplayed, where there was no serious attempt at scoring a goal. You'll see in time.

The sissoko challenge wasn't vindictive he went for the ball and was late and got booked

With all the things being said in this thread about what player 1 should do to player 2 and vice-versa, I'm beginning to wonder what further punishments beyond the can be imposed?

If Son were to "take his balls out" as one suggestion puts it, what punishment would Son receive?

Son is a very nice lad, certainly not on anyone's list of dirty players. Maybe he and the club reasoned, either naively or knowing that an increased penalty is never enforced these days, that because the red card on the Gomes incident had been overturned, another appeal would succeed again. But this one was a red card all day long. Unfortunately, Mourinho's comments insinuating that Rudiger play-acted to get Son sent off were very irresponsible and will be viewed by some as lending some justification to the racist abuse Rudiger received.

While I do think the red for Son was justified as you can’t kick out like that, I find it hilariously hypocritical from some of the Chelsea fans, when a few years ago they all accused Vertonghen of getting Torres sent off with his perceived overreaction.

Watch the footage on YouTube if you like.

The lesson I take from this incident is ........
when you get a card on VAR ... you've got it,...big time!

Well at least we now know Mourinho was right in questioning Rüdiger’s integrity in all this. Son deserved his red but that faacker Rudiger was not so innocent after all.
Every dog has their day. We really should be moving on now.

If u dont ask u dont get. Can the ban be extended if the appeal is unsuccessful?

Son is no longer regarded as a "clean player". He has demons and dropping to his knees as if he'd been wronged doesn't wash. Those who think it's not a red need to read up on the laws of football and interpret them properly. Remember this was a VAR decision and not a spur of the moment red by the ref. It had been looked at and analysed closely.
Once again I congratulate Jose on deflecting from the loss his side took and more importantly how he was completely outsmarted by his former pupil.

Red all day but the video showing Rudiger whacking Son prior to him retaliating is made up.
