We're still in our current position of 4th because we built a sizeable cushion to the below in the first place, with those run of wins.
More than capable of going on a run again.
I'd revert to a back 4 against Southampton at home.
Not the type of match that requires back 3 set-up, for me.
Horses for courses.
Similar lineup to the side that battered Southampton 4-1 in October.
Zouma is who I'd rest/rotate in the backline.
Played a lot of consecutive matches, rotation is a must during this grueling schedule.
RJ in for Azpi.
Emerson in for Alonso.

I'd go something along this today.
Kepa
James, Rudigier, Tomori, Emerson
Kante, Jorginho
Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Pulisic
Batshuayi
Against Arsenal on the weekend I would go back to a back 3.
I think kovacic is arguably unstoppable currently. Wil be interesting to see the team. Could be a good opportunity for odoi or another to step up
Bats as a starter in a PL match is not an option, unfortunately.
Doesn't come anywhere close to the required standard Tammy produces, as a starter.
We're going to have to find a better alternative (than Bats) that can genuinely challenge/compete with Tammy for his current undisputed spot.
Hmmm. Three at the back again.
Unnecessary IMO, but should have enough to beat Southampton either way.
Need a performance from Hudson-Odoi today for his sake. Needs to shut people up or the pressure will grow.
I hate to say it, but CHO is awful. He’s the worst player on that pitch.
We haven’t created anything. I’d swap one of the 3 central defenders for Mount to go back to a 4-3-3, and then swap CHO for Pulisic who might actually be able to pass the ball to a Chelsea player.
Three at the back confused me from the start. Need to switch to 433 in the second half, fact Kova's suspended means we'll actually get a balanced one with Mount at LCM.
Mount has already made us look more dangerous
Respect to Lampard for identifying that tactical error & addressing it immediately, not waiting till 60-70th minute like many other managers would've
Yep, still made the change too late, Southampton could sit on their lead & counter attack.
No worries, he'll learn from it.
The transfer window can't open soon enough
ffs, if they didn't time waste so much they'd be about 4 up by now. Explain this one away Frank!
Poor performance, lack of creativity and Abraham's touch was particularly poor today. Was expecting a win but the loss doesn't completely surprise me with our inconsistency and poor home form

Lol what? Franks tactics were woeful today. Got it all wrong
We really need to learn how to play games where we're given time with the ball. All we do is move the ball, bump up the possession stats, we find it very hard to move the opposition out of their shape. Guardiola would pull his hair out (if he had any) managing us the past 18 months

LOL - true players did just play poorly, but the way Lampard started the game was still wrong, and his change at H/T was still correct (albeit too late).
Agree sheriff but still square pegs round holes etc It has been evident to all 42,000 in that ground yesterday that Azpilicueta shouldn’t be rwb.
