Great fiery start from Arsenal but after Chambers's injury Arsenal just lost the agression and never showed it again! They went from playing like a Pep's team then they drifted into Wenger team and got slowly sucker punched by Chelsea from the changes made my Lampard.

Where is the ruthlessness? The missed chances, the Laca miss was always going to come back and haunt us, and doesn't look as sharp and off form.

Arsenal not as fit as the opponents :You have to admire Chelsea fitness, towards the end Arsenal players seem to have no energy while Chelsea's player

When it flows it looked great but at times the team still looked disorganised and almost played like Emery team.

Jorgino 'RED CARD' should have been second yellow and red but this moment of decision cost Arsenal heavily. (MISTAKE 1)

Rare critical mistake from Leno, cost Arsenal (MISTAKE 2)

Arsenal needs to invest in TOP CB and replace XHAKA plus one more creative midfeilder...as we could see need a real leader here..as we have seen how much a TOP CB can make a difference in Liverpool and VD, Man City and lack of Kompany etc.

Overall, you can see the blueprint Arsenal are playing at it look great and will evolve as player gel into the new system. I persoanlly rekon, the front three needs to watch the Liverpool front three and DO MORE and BE MORE RUTHLESS!!!

Secondly, with Xhaka leaving there is sure to be some new faces coming soon, overall exicited with NEW ARSENAL looking like old Arsenal which should get to top four soon if things go according to plan.

Don’t get me wrong, I really like Leno, but when you need your best players to step up, all ours seem to do is find new ways to f’ck up.

Had he chucked one in in a match we were already losing you’d be more ‘meh’ about it. But he cost us the game today, and there’s no getting away from that.

Could be hugely damaging to our season, that result. And that is on the keeper.

Your front three don't work hard enough. Your fans laugh at Hendo but your team lacks a player like him who can run and press for 90 minutes

The Jorginho red card was a travesty. But in fairness, Guendouzi could have been off earlier. He is so rash and just does not think at times.

You are right..we are in desperate need of one top class CB in January. Hoping for Upemencano. Then with Saliba coming in the summer, I'd hope we'd have the makings of a long term partnership. Luiz and Sokratis as backups and hoping Holding comes good. Sell Mustafi and Mavrapanos.

If Xhaka leaves, we need a Santi type back. Maybe a cheeky bid for Santi? Ha. Torreira could use an energetic but ball playing midfielder next to him.

Jorginho was brought on after 30 minutes, so we played well for a third of the match? Not exactly good.

Arteta couldn't do much from the bench, a lot of injuries meant we had little experience to come on, plus we had to make that early sub limiting Arteta to 2 subs.
We also looked knackered very early. Not that surprising considering Arteta is trying to get them to play a high energy pressing game that they are not used to. Will take a bit of time to get the fitness levels needed.

Leno is a good shot-stopper, and we let the opposition have a lot of shots. That is why he looks good. Always been dodgy on crosses though, and that was a horrendous error today.

Why should Guendouzi have been sent off? He made one foul all game and that wasn't a sending off.

I agree, also FRONT THREE needs ot WATCH LIVERPOOL FRONT THREE..can't mention this enough...they have all the skillset to be able to play in similar fashion even 50% similarity would mean more goals....hopefully Arteta can unlock that!

Or the flip side Lex. A player is human and Leno has HAD to be on the top of his game ALL season. That requires top concentration too. And we know that a goalie's position requires even more concentration. Eventually, there WILL be fatigue. Unfortunately, it happened today. Of all the players who have stepped up this season, he is top of the list. I for one am pained that we lost the game but would be the first to tell him not to worry one bit. If we want to blame our poor season on players, look at the 10 in front of Leno

The pull back on Abraham in the box off the ball would have been a second yellow. The ref was not consistent with the decisions though..booking some players for pull backs and not others

Agreed, and as I say, I do like the guy.

Just have to wonder what this does to the already fragile confidence of our defence though, knowing the guy that has bailed them out so often this season, is as fallible as anyone.

Leno has kept us in a lot of games this season. Mainly draws where if it wasn't for him we could have lost. Any fan that singles out Leno for one aberration is not a fan in my view. Lots of promising signs today despite the defeat. Trouble is we have a lot of millennial and Gen Z fans who are such snowflakes they do not know the meaning of patience.

yep leno is utter trash with crosses. always has been. as Dj said the only reason he has been our best player is because the defence is giving him a billion shots to save every game. he utterly fked us this game, and its going to cost us so much
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It cost us 3 points....
We have dropped a ton more due to other players. A goalie's job IS to stole shots. I'd rather a good shot stopper over one who handles crosses but cant stop shots. He is nowhere as bad at commanding his box as you'd make him out to be. I have not been as confident in our goalie since Lehmann.

Mind you, you think Emery was not the problem. This season, when did Emery get these players to show the fight they have in Arteta's 2 games so far? Yes results have not reflected the uptick in performance but you cant deny Emery was a big part of the problem

All I can hope is that they look at it and realize that the performance was better than most we put in this season and see it as something to build upon. Hoping Leno has the arrogance to brush this off. 😊

We need to make at least one big signing in the first week of January. After the United game we don't play in the league until the 10th, so a lot of time to get at least one player in.
Chambers injury, if it keeps him out for some time, and Xhakas rumoured departure makes that more urgent.

Leno miscalculated, there are tons of players and weakness that needs to be sorted before scapegoating one critical mistake from Leno who has been top class all season.

I doubt we will sign anybody of significance in January

Hopefully the likes of Xhaka and Mustafi will finally be sold
