It's transfer rumour season. He's been linked with clubs for 30/40m and since he isn't English. If he was, that's where the other 40/50m would have been added on.
Regardless at 30/40m still way too cheap.
If Maguire is worth £80m and Chilwell is reported to be worth £70m, Pereira is worth >100m.
I’m not even joking, he’s that good. Problem is Barca will come in and bid peanuts because they know players want to go. Hopefully we’ll tell big clubs they need to pay up.
Anyway, we’ve got Justin, but I’d rather he replaced Chilwell 😉
If Pereira is worth 100m then the league is full of players worth in excess of 100m.
The £30m figure has been attached to Spurs as Mourinho is a huge fan of Ricardo. The idea of Leicester and Daniel Levy doing a transfer deal is completely laughable - we don’t sell for anything less than ridiculous money and levy just doesn’t pay those rates.
He’s not going anywhere in January and it would take silly money to sell him in the summer
Apparently Chelsea and man city are in a bidding war for chilwell
I wonder if anyone has sounded out the player before
The papers manoeuvre their movement of players they want at different clubs,
Do they talk to the players agent who obviously want their player to transfer because of the commission before anyone asks the player what he wants,
Is chilwell really going to go to Chelsea who are rebuilding, worked out well for drinkwater!
And I don't see him as ready for man city /Liverpool
He maybe England standard he's not champions league standard yet,, would you risk £80+k
Pereira I don't see him going anywhere but
Psg, Barcelona, ect

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe Alexander-Arnold yes, but not many other fullbacks are good enough to play for Barcelona.
I guess the problem Naby is that when Maguire went for 80m, that is now the benchmark.
If Chilwell is worth £70m, and Maguire is worth £80m, then trust me, Pereira is worth a lot more than that. He’s a world class player that is the real deal. I like the two other players I mentioned that are both a lot more flawed than other teams fans seem to realise.
I think Ricardo’s the most likely to go. There’s never any talk about a new contract being offered, which suggests to me that he’s not interested in extending his current one right now.
Even so, I doubt anyone’s leaving in this transfer window and it’d take a lot more than £30m in the summer.
We should be breaking the bank for him. He's top class.
I imagine City will probably come in for him though. They have only spent £110m on right backs in the last couple of years so will probably need another now.

Are we taking Chilwell or Pereira here?
Not sure if it’s true but I saw an article last week he has a release clause for the end of his second Season with us, surely we wouldn’t make that mistake again?

Oh yes we would. Let’s not forget Rudkins infamous 14 second mess up of the Adrien Silva transfer in which he sold Drinkwater before getting a replacement over the line. Anything is possible
Mersey - as much as I think Ricardo is absolutely brilliant, I couldn’t put him in the world class category for the simple reason that he can’t defend. But he more than makes up for that through his attacking prowess

Roberto Carlos wasn’t the best defender either BS. Still world class.
But I agree on the defending part. That said, he’s a better defender than Chilwell (not that hard!)...
What I like about Justin is that he looks to be able to defend and attack. Exciting.
If we do have a release clause we’re stupid. That will have cost us minimum £50m. Might explain the quiet surrounding him when he’s performing. People just waiting to pick him off!

Personally, I don’t think there will be a release clause.

He’s not fit to lace Roberto Carlos’ boots - Carlos could do both, he might not have been as good a defender as someone like Gary Neville, but he could defend and with his pace he could bail his teams out defensively when needed

An example of what I’m talking about - Carlos was a far superior tackler to Ricardo - he was world class because he could defend and attack.
I rate Pereira’s defending higher than you BS, and he’s still young in that regard as he’s only been learning the art for 2 seasons really. Plenty of time to improve that side of his game.
What you should have said is he’s not fit to lace Carlos’ boots yet...... yet 😉
Haha - I think it’s safe bet to say that Ricardo Pereira is not going to be as good as Roberto Carlos was.
I guess you’re right, he’ll probably be better...
I’m actually starting to get bored now......
