I think Lamar is an excellent player but Simeone is not the right type of manager for him to flourish under.

However, I would say that Mourinho is also not the right kind of manager for him. Added to the fact that I'm not sure who he replaces (Lucas?), I can't see it happening.

Exactly, it's pretty much the only area of the pitch where we don't particularly need improvements.

We almost paid alot of money for him. Bullet dodged.

would be good if we had already addressed the full backs, central defence, midfield and more in previous windows were we were beyond inadequate

Yeah... Looks that way. Thought they were really good last night, esp 1st half. I like the way Bielsa's teams play. Is Clarke back with Spurs now ?? I heard the loan was being cancelled but don't know if it happened ???

That is some shout.

I've seen little of him but he's a terrier, neat and tidy on the ball and sets a good tempo.

Probably available for less than 30m as well.

Didn't Sandy hate N'Jie from day 1 because he had stupid hair? Imagine what he'd make of Kalvin Phillips

Off the pace is bang on! He's either lunging in to challenges too late or chasing after players he'll never catch.

I was prepared to give him a chance but he's lost it. We need more energetic mobile midfielders and when they have these attributes then they need not be muscle bound hulks like Dier.

If id criticise Poch's era for anything then it is that a number of our players have bulked up too much and lost pace/energy/agility as a result.
