Iran played like a kipper. They've allowed the US to run rings around them, it's like Kevin Garnett vs Tyrion Lanister on a basketball court.
They clearly don't have the wherewithal to possess nuclear weapons. Its sad that other nations have them, but they should still do everything in their power to make sure that more nations don't develop that capability.

If America, Israel. The U.K. and India can have them, why can’t Iran? I don’t see them as any less trustworthy than these other countries I’ve named, especially those Zionists.
No-one should have them. It's fvcking insane to have military weapons thats can end the world and are designed to kill civilians.

I don't think they are far off. They have already upped their enrichment capabilities. This is the crux of the matter for me. Do the US aided and abetted by Israel stop the programme by any means?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have to say yes, they should be stopped by any means. North Korea too. For me it shouldn't even be a matter up for debate.
I consider these countries are poor countries in a mad rush for these super weapons when they honeslty can't even feed their own people. If you don't have the capacity for certain other things, how do you have the capacity to possess nuclear weapons? If they shot down the plane by accident...
It'd be a disaster waiting to happen, more than it is now. Two wrongs don't make a right. The world allowed Hitler to rise because everyone else wasn't an angel either, we can't allow risks to humanity to continue to develop in my opinion.
It would be better if we were focussing on disarming nuclear nations. Instead our focus is on stopping other nations from acquiring nuclear weapons.
If there was no threat of more countries developing nuclear capabilities, at some point there'd be an argument that having nuclear stockpiles is not necessary.
Right now, the nuclear powers will hold on to their bombs. Bombs are made to explode, just like guns are made to shoot.

Perhaps they're not less trustworthy but its not as simple as that. You have to accept history and the status quo. With things the way they are, its a baaaaaad idea to allow proliferation of nuclear weapons.

It’s not as simple as that though
There’s a very strong argument that having a nuclear deterrent has saved many lives. I’m certain without the big two in the US and Russia having a mutually assured destruction there would already have been a WW3 and/ or WW4 etc.
Before nuclear weapons the ambitions of superpowers were much higher than they are now. You really think in the Cold War without the threat of being nuked the Russians would have stopped where they did? And the equivalent for the Americans?
These world wars where tens of millions died have stopped because we’ve reached the point where the superpowers have reached a kind of stalemate where it’s very unlikely they’ll be used because they both have no actual reason to use them as neither will have a world to inherit if they do ‘win’
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying nuclear weapons are a ‘good’ thing. Just that it’s not quite as simple as saying they’re a bad thing. It’s my view that the threat each have posed each other has stopped the big two going to war. And that in turn has saved tens of millions of lives as I’m sure a WW3 would have happened without them
I bet Iran is chomping at the but to destroy a load of Greggs and charity shops whilst also knowing it will bring about a nuclear winter and everyone dies anyway.
It's such bollox, people being controlled by fear whilst private firms are being funded in the billions.
How does Australia manage without them?
Uteer nonsense.

Yes, mutually assured destruction has indeed saved the world. Would have been nice if it didn't have to be that way to begin with though.

Yes, mutually assured destruction has indeed saved the world. Would have been nice if it didn't have to be that way to begin with though.
Will take many many years and generations before that kind of trust develops, if ever.
