Also, the police fack up sometimes but it would be heartbreaking if they failed to investigate this only because of race reasons. They're not that bad, surely. Rape is investigated even in places with more racial tensions than here. Would be pathetic. Race reasons might contribute to lethargy but can't be the reason to allow this to go unpunished. I don’t believe we as the public will ever find out but I’m certain there are many reasons for these failings.
What I do recall from when this story first broke was a significant amount of “news” indicating police fears of being seen to aggressively interrogate and investigate these crimes for fear of accusations of racist motives. Hence why they backed off and in line with so called “no go” areas.
It would (I hope) never be down simply to race concerns.

Not in my mind. Someone speaks to me in English and I take them as being British. End of.
Someone walking around on the U.K. streets and living here I just assume is British but maybe their family originated from elsewhere depending upon things like accent, looks, colour etc but that’s it. In my mind again they are British unless they told me otherwise.
I see and hear some talking together in a foreign language (particularly in London) I’ll probably assume they are visitors or students depending upon age.
They’re all just assumptions. Nothing more.

Also, the police fack up sometimes but it would be heartbreaking if they failed to investigate this only because of race reasons. They're not that bad, surely. Rape is investigated even in places with more racial tensions than here. Would be pathetic. Race reasons might contribute to lethargy but can't be the reason to allow this to go unpunished. I won't believe it unless something conclusive comes out.

I don’t believe we as the public will ever find out but I’m certain there are many reasons for these failings.
What I do recall from when this story first broke was a significant amount of “news” indicating police fears of being seen to aggressively interrogate and investigate these crimes for fear of accusations of racist motives. Hence why they backed off and in line with so called “no go” areas.
It would (I hope) never be down simply to race concerns.

Not in my mind. Someone speaks to me in English and I take them as being British. End of.
Someone walking around on the U.K. streets and living here I just assume is British but maybe their family originated from elsewhere depending upon things like accent, looks, colour etc but that’s it. In my mind again they are British unless they told me otherwise.
I see and hear some talking together in a foreign language (particularly in London) I’ll probably assume they are visitors or students depending upon age.
They’re all just assumptions. Nothing more.
