Not historically. He had 19 goals and 10 assists in 52 games last season. Season before, score 20 and had 4 assists in 39. 16/17 season played 52 and scored 48 with 4 assists ( yes 11 penalties). So NO he is far from a bad striker. He is a very good striker going through a very bad patch.

If Auba was Mane he gets away with it imo

Its cool we got Gabriel who will show his mark!

Arsenal needs to stop relying on Auba so much, h may leave in the summer....another RVP situation

Tomkins was lucky not to be off VAR inconsistent again

I agree Auba needs rest we must play Martinelli to improve him Auba is a phenomenal scorer but not streetwise imo he lacks that aggressive fight required as CF also lacks football brain harsh but true unlike Mane of Liverpool.

Every meaningful thing we do will either run through our fullbacks out wide, or get pipelined straight through the middle to Lacazette by David Luiz.

Every single throw-in will also be delayed until Lacazette drops back and squares up to receive it.

Take Lacazette out and we lose any sort of edge upfront.

He's the literal theatrical foil of the dramatic piece who helps emphasize the traits of the main character and who allows everyone else on stage to shine.

Laca is alright

Laca is in a run of bad form. He is taking longer to throw off the problems than others have of playiong under Emery. Hopefully he will get there. It only takes a couple of goals and he could get his confidence back.

The way I see it, he has 3 games to prove himself before Auba is back. Still not performing and he should be dropped.

Tomkins was a bad foul but the big difference was that it wasnt studs. Auba went into him studs first straight onto the side of the ankle Tomkins scythed him down shin first. I'm not saying it wasnt a red and I think he was out of control, but there was a clear difference.

The other one I think deserved a red was the deliberate violent conduct from Zaha shoving was it Torreira into Sokratis. A deliberate shove to push him under the player who was jumping and imo a clear deliberate act of dangerous play.

Ayew had the most fouls of any player in the PL this year without being booked for repeat offences. Laca got booked for repeat offences for less fouls and some of which were dives.

On the subject of dives, the worst was one player who jumped a yard across and barged Sokratis and then threw himself on the ground and got a free kick from it. Sums up the ref today, gave them a foul for every dive they did.

How Ayew didn’t receive a yellow though out the game was a disgrace, he committed enough fouls for two bookings. Thought Tomkins was lucky to stay on Aswell. We have had some ridiculous decisions against us the last few games. However so disappointing to not come out with the same attitude as we started with, we were encouraging Palace to score. It’s as if we have to win the game in the first 30 mins because we don’t play for the rest.
