Very good, Coady is a real leader and excellent player. And Trore is a beast.

For me it was our best win this season, we were really u der pressure after you scored (great goal) and Alisson had to at his very best to keep you out.

Alas i can't speak for any Wolves side of any kind of substance since i joined the party in the early 80s so naturally it is comfortably the best side i have seen.

I think wolves are a top team. Your manager is smart...loved the way he exposed our high line from the corner, clever. Actually make us stronger now we know what to lòok for.

Very good players and I can see wloves a top 4 side next few yrs at the expense of say an arsenal or chelsea...hopefully ousting m utd.

can see wolves taking the spurs/manu spot in the league soon ,possibly cl this season

I actually agree. It is criminal how hopelessly small our squad is and it does us no favours at all. This season we should be up battling it out with Leicester whilst the others are in turmoil.

Not that great if they're below Spurs.

Joking aside, they're a very good team and are doing well while having the distraction that is Europa, which usually drags the lower teams down near the relegation zone.

We have two obvious problems, giving away a cheap goal early in the game and then not scoring when we get good chances.
As I said obvious, but if we can address them we canbe up with the best.

It's the best Wolves or Everton team you have ever seen

As one of the older posters on the Wolves board I'v seen some great footballing sides and some awful ones.
I think it's very hard to compare a Wolves side from the 50's with one from the 80' & 90's to the current squad. So much has changed over the years, the style of football played, the influence and influx of foreign players, the condition of the playing surfaces and indeed, the ball itself, not to mention the outrageous sums of money involved in the game today.
When I first watched Wolves we were the best in England but the players were playing with 5lb leather caseball on a muddy field. but I have to say this squad for me are the most exciting that I have ever watched and the most exciting thing is we have only just got started, there's lot's more to come.

Until this wolves team wins something then no. It’s not even close to the best Everton team I have seen.

it's the best coached wolves team i've seen, then you might say it should be as there's nearly as many coaches in the dugout as there are players on the pitch.

By some distance the best Wolves team I have witnessed in my 40 years of watching them. I can't make comparisons with the great sides of the 50s and wasnt really old enough to fully appreciate the Wolves sides of the 70s. I started going regularly in the late 80's when I started having a regular income and coincidentally when the club was at its lowest ebb.
Seeing the start of the revival under Graham Turner and Bully's avalanche of goals was an incredible journey. Then the Sir Jack years and a stadium to be proud of once more and massive investment in players but no real improvement in performances. A new century and at last a return to the big league, hope and expectation, unfulfilled. Steve Morgan, backing for Mick and instant success followed too soon by a drifting of focus and successive relegations. Kenny Jacket was new broom to sweep clean, took us back to respectability. Enter Fosun, a Zenga/Lambert hiccup and fooking boom. In the blink of an eye a dizzying ride on a fast train to Wembley, Europe and who knows where next. We're gripping the handrails tightly and enjoying the ride. Destination Trophytown please!

In terms of infrastructure they are still far from the biggest clubs but on the pitch is another matter.
I'd argue with their manager/playstyle and recruitment they have stronger foundations than Spurs, Arsenal and Man u, in terms of building a successful team.
What they've done in a short period of time is very impressive.

As good as we have been however, it probably important to realise that we still haven't achieved as much as Leicester City. We need to emulate the consistency of their title winning season or even this season, At the moment we're raising our game for the big games but we must start treating every game with the same degree of urgency and commitment. Dropping 6 points to Huddersfield last season and getting beaten by Watford, dropping points against Newcastle and Brighton this season is disapointing because we're clearly better than these sides.

Yep, this is easily the best Wolves team i've seen since i've been going in 1979.
Not there were all that many great non relegation squads on my list!

Things that impress me with Nuno's team most are the speed of play, the tactical quick thinking of players & cool accurate passing under pressure. The team is organized and clearly has a plan of attack, and a plan of how to defend and dominate. The counter attack transition can be breathtaking. Ball control and overall skill level is now just taken for granted, but it's at a level i've never seen before. This is also all against the highest level of opponents we've had in the last 40 years, and fans and players alike have the same fearless expectations that we can beat any team we face & if we don't we know they will have given it a damn good try.

Yes we do go behind a lot, but Nuno seems to know exactly what to do to put things right. Even though we lost to Liverpool, Nuno's second half tactics made most of us think that we could win it. Almost every game Nuno has known what to do...and it either worked or they ran out of time trying.

It's not just the results or even performances, its the hope and expectations that this team is about to do something impressive, and that's a feeling I haven't had that often for the last few decades.

I think it’s pretty impossible to compare teams over eras. Football has changed so much since we last had a top team in the 70s.

That team under Bill McGarry would have been nowhere near as fit as the modern guys, would regularly be found at the bar when they weren’t playing, maybe having a smoke too, and would spend a fraction of the time of the modern teams honing their skills and working on tactics. For all those reasons the current team would annihilate the team from that era.

But does that make the modern team better by comparison? The 70s team finished 4th and 5th in the league, played in the UEFA cup regularly, once getting to the final. They won the league cup, got to fa cup semi finals and took part in exciting games that have stayed in the memories for 50 years.

What’s important about our current team is that they are one of the best teams in the country now, are regularly in games that are good to watch, have some high quality players and look like they will get better if we can keep them together. And it is a team the younger fans will still be talking about in 50 years.

But most importantly the current team are current which means we can not only remember some great games but also look forward to the ones coming up
