According to French news this lad is coming!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fans on twitter seem to really rate this kid.
Will it be a loan deal
I remember Tresor Kandol, I hope he's better than him.
At 9 foot 1 and born and bred in Beeston, Leeds this lad is surely the one to take us up!!
Looks like the wiki moderators have ruined the fun
Actually this Augustine was on fire a couple of seasons ago aged 20 and had the look of a Jimmy Floyd Hasslebank.
For whatever reason he's gone off the boil but if Bielsa could reignite this lad then hopefully Leeds will have got a bargain, bit like when we got Gradel he just took off at Leeds and we saw the best of him.
I'm always wary of geezers called Jean,
Haven’t seen Stoopo raving about him, wonder if YouTube 30 sec video service is down....
Clearly a 3/4 choice signing but right now we need a striker.

And one that provides a lift to the dressing room, so his character is really important too.
Like Jonty said, this seems to be a plan c signing. However you don't have at 22 Monaco and PSG on your CV if you are not decent. From the bits I've seen one wonders how well Ekuban would have done under Bielsa.
It's a gamble for sure, and YouTube is essentially a football agent.
Apparently he's signing today according to French football media

While the departure desires of Islam Slimani have been known for several weeks (see our edition of January 12) and the Algerian is proposed to many clubs across the Channel, another case should shake the Principality. That of Jean-Kévin Augustin. For several hours, the international Espoirs (22 years old) has had to answer a question: do we say no to Marcelo Bielsa? The Monegasque striker, on loan from Leipzig, replied in the negative. Arrived last summer, the former Parisian should join in the coming hours the English club, current second in the Championship.

The more I've thought about this, the better it seems.
Just get him signed and on the bench against Millwall along with this Poweda lad at least we'd have some better options than we did at QPR.
On twitter saying hes not in monaco squad for game against strasbourg today.
Hes been in last 16 match squads.
Could be happening
From what I’ve read about this lad, prefer him over Adams....
seems to be gathering pace, myself would prefer adams as he is proven at this level, then again would prefer gray
Can't we get this lad and Adams?

And if it does happen, Scunner, I will happily eat humble pie for pouring scorn on the whole idea. I'm not convinced he's proven at this level, but I defer to all those on here who seem convinced he is. At the very least, it shows that Radz and Co are displaying some ambition - and cash - for the club.

Agree mate. He aint proven at this level. Ive never seen him play but if he turns out to be a better finisher than Bamford then thats all that matters. Cos thats what has cost us alot this season. Losing games weve dominated through chances missed.
Let's get this one over the line. Then we can worry if he's any good.
