For me, I always envied what you had in Makelele.
Great player.
I know Drogba always had us on toast, but it's Arjen Robben for me.
Shame he had to leave after only 3 years.
Lampard will always be #1 for me
Hard to pick one from the obvious names - Cech, JT, Lamps, Drogba, Hazard, etc...
Favorite understated one is Mata.
Agree Biggish. Drogs had big cojones, the bigger the occasion the bigger the performance from him. He would be determined to be the go-to bloke on the field that made the difference between getting over the line and not.
Routine league game against Wigan, he probably wouldn't stand out but if Planet Earth were to have a fixture against the Rest of the Universe with survival of the species at stake, you can bet your life that Drogba would score a hat-trick and be the Man of the Match.
Lampard.
But if it was based purely on just sitting back and watching and enjoying then Hazard all day long.
Has to be Lamps for me. I can remember when Roman bought the club and started spending like crazy I kept hearing from Chelsea and non-Chelsea fans alike that Lampard would be moved on as he had no chance retaining his place in a Chelsea side full of superstars.
Frank (as usual in his career) proved all the naysayers completely wrong and went on to become our highest scoring player ever and he did it from central midfield which shows just how ridiculously good he was.
Biggish I have a loophole
Super Frank in Roman era.
Drogba as favourite signing made after Roman bought the club.
Ignoring the obvious, I'd put Ballack in there.
Loved that guy.
JT, with Lamps and Drogs not far behind. True chelsea legends
Easy. Christian Pulisic.
soccer?lol.

Summer,
I think the only time that Drogba stood out agst Wigan was when he sulked because Frank wouldn't let him take the penalty
Yeah true.
Fixtures like that just didn't capture his interest (or mine tbh even though I would still be there). Wigan in any sort of Cup Final though...............different story!!

I know already that his ‘successor’ Lukaku will end his career with more goals etc than Drogba. But if I had to choose a Forward/Striker to go to war for me, out of those 2, I know it would be Drogba every time.
Jt, Lamps, Ashley Cole and Cech are up there for me.
