I can't see it impacting the majority of the countries, only those who are vulnerable and China is one of them. Any cases in the UK won't be in mass I'd imagine, much like Ebola, probably the odd 1/2 cases will be reported, not enough to kill everybody and besides, not nearly every case results in death anyway.
The size of the Chinese population and the scale of the outbreak has only lead to 170 deaths at the moment. Of course this is still bad, but it is clearly still treatable and in that case time is still on our side because it isn't sweeping through nations left, right and centre and causing havoc. The disease is being restricted to one area so the chances of this spreading, like it has in China, globally is highly unlikely.

Meanwhile around the world, I wonder what's been covered up
fecking hate this distracting man made bull$#!t,
My sister lives in HK and my 18 y.o. kid is currently staying there with her. I've been tracking coronavirus updates for over a month, and I don't think this is anywhere near as bad as the hysterical fear-mongering reports published by some mum or the apocalyptic rumours being spread through social networks.
If you do have any sensible, reliable sources behind some of the stuff talked about here, I'd appreciate you post them so I can check them out. Cheers.

Two staying in York confirmed.

Two confirmed reports in Newcastle as well.
Typical in the North.
Wuhan is a twin city with Manchester confirming what we all know - God is a united fan and he’ll do what it takes to stop Liverpool winning the league

Just saw it on my PC as a news headline, thought they were separate cases.
Again though, typical it's in the north.

It's just a joke...
This particular viral strain has been active for months at the very least.
People have been travelling in and out of China for months. You've probably caught it and passed it on 3 times by now.
Only people who need to be concerned are those with a compromised immune system.

Been on with my some of Chinese suppliers today and the situation is really critical in other regions including Shandong. They are really frightened.
All businesses are to remain closed until at least 10th Feb and expect further delays next week

Unsurprising as the country has so much poverty and such bad quality of life in so many areas. Overpopulated, crowded areas with so many industries that are just killing the air in the country and with the amount of pollution they pump out every second it's no surprise a virus is hitting them so bad.
