Just to add whilst the EU could (and arguably should) have handled the Greece debt crisis situation better, it was Greek fiscal policy (following the 2007 global economic crisis) which led to the problem in the first place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, and that is why I posted that the eu got Greece into their web.....kidding....and expected the Greek economy to function on a par with Germany in the eurozone.

Not long ago, brexit hating Fintan O'Toole of the Irish Times WA ranting against Brussels for terms of the Irish bailout too.

People have short memories and rose tinted specs on the good old eu.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they don’t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can criticise the EU Sizzle. Like any multi governmental organisation, they've made mistakes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have way more respect for The EU than I ever did before this clusterf*ck began in 2016. Look at they way they’ve behaved throughout, tolerance patience and grace, whilst the U.K. has embarrassed itself on a global f*cking scale.

Well said.

I admit the leave vote has its faults and lacks financial certainty, but this weird worship of all that is eu, is silly.

And as I pointed out, many on the left are and were eurosceptic, based on Brussels being seen as capitalist, and against UK socialist policies.

Just because Tommy and Hopkins and farage are leave, people think it's all about the right....it's not.

For well off remain, immigration meant cheap Labour or nannies, but for working class voters, who Labour used to represent, immigration was often seen as a threat to their employment, housing, hospital or school places And in parts of the UK, local commu ity was changed too rapidly for some....this does not mean they are right and voting leave was not the utopian answer.

But let's not pretend the eu is perfect or beyond critique

Just think in a few more hours, there will be no more blaming

European Migrants
Remainers
Parliament
European Union

It will all be down to the Tories to deliver what they promised, a flourishing country that is better than what we already have.

Excuses are over in what seven hours time. Their time has come. As if.
