He’s cost us 2 points today - that’s completely on him. That was almost a Torres style miss that would have put us miles clear of 4th place

He needs to be dropped and he needs to learn how to shoot

Well his shot was heavily deflected - been watching him for a couple of years and his shooting has been terrible for so long, it just isn’t improving

He was deadly at MK but yea looks like he panics abit when it comes to shooting atm

Watch it again mate. It’s almost as bad as Torres against Chelsea

Barnes just gets given a lot of slack because he’s an exciting young English player.

I’ve watched it a few times, it was a bad miss, but a free header from that far out is worse for me.

Are we talking about the chance I saw late on when Vardy crossed to him?

Always nice to see fans getting behind the youth players

He doesn’t sound like the greatest pundit that’s ever set foot in their studio but I gather there was no-one on the pitch who was outstanding. A lot of average performances out there and one or two who were non-existent by the sounds of things. Tielemans might have been one of them.

Both sitters, thought Evans' chance was the easier of the two.

Barnes has improved as a player loads this year.

Finishing is not one area that has.

Still young and improving. He’ll never be a natural finisher but give him time. He’s a bit like Sterling and he manages to score a few now.

Cost us the 2 points

Due to our lack of transfer activity in this area of our team, Barnes has probably had more game time than you’d want for a young player who is still developing. The ideal scenario would be to bring him in and then back out like SAF at Man U did with some youngsters.

Now he has been thrown in a little more than we’d perhaps envisioned, all of those areas of his game that he’s trying to development are being placed in the limelight much more than would have been the case if he was being brought through at a slower rate (where a lot of his working on ‘areas of development’ would be in the comparative shadows of training and development matches.

To be fair to the lad - he has 4 goals and 2 assists in his last 6 games. However, he does need to be amore assured with those sorts of chances.

I guess this is a more general theme with a relatively young team on the whole.

Still, we are on the top 4 with a squad we know we need to develop and add to.

Not even close in my opinion or worth bringing the Torres miss up. That was one of the league's all time worst misses. The Barnes miss was just a bad miss that happens in most games.
