Compare that with Sterling's competition for his place.

Sterling loses form then he's out because other world class players are coming in.

Robbo loses form and he's still probably better than anyone else at the moment.

B.Silva is a very good talent and player but he’s not even a bonafide starter in the City team. Sterling has been a li player for them for years and one of the first names on the team sheet, over Bernardo. I’m surprised to see so many have him in a PL XI.

sterling is an outlet for the way pep plays. If sane was fit and kept up at his trajectory i would wager he would be starting over sterling. Likewise a traore or someone could do his role.
