So they didn't receive any training while in England then Neon? They were too old to take anything from the experience? It's a pretty poor that you can't just thank us for helping India to get to where they were! If only you sent some more players into County Cricket instead of the IPL we may be able to help train them into proper test cricketers!

Lol. Say thank you for helping train these players into the stars that they were. Just think without this training Tendulkar may have just been an also ran!
Granted it's a bit of a shame that India couldn't just rely on their own structure to help polish up these players but I'm sure you're much happier now you rely on just the Indian setup. Only 1 player in the County game now isn't it? Still its paying off for you in Test cricket eh?

I don't care whether anyone agrees or not. I'm not really suggesting that England 'made' Tendulkar but it's equally stupid to suggest he and other Indian cricketers didn't benefit from the experience. Now as soon as you've accepted that you can accept that these players weren't just a product of 'Indian resources'.
neon, I think you have gotten tangled up in your web there, Cook was never in the SA youth system.

you ask pakistan fans not to comment on matches other than those involving pakistan so why on earth are you posting on an England vs WI game?
You are the biggest hypocrite I have ever met.
This is about Pietersen's early career fro wikapedia, his development as a cricketer clearly too place in England.
"Pietersen attended Maritzburg College, Pietermaritzburg, and made his first-class cricket debut for Natal's B team in 1997, aged 17, where he was regarded predominantly as an off spin bowler and a hard-hitting lower-order batsman.[22][23] After two seasons, he moved to England for a five-month spell as the overseas player for club side Cannock CC, helping them win the Birmingham and District Premier League in 2000.[24] This first spell away from home did not leave him with fond memories for England, in particular "those horrible Black Country accents" referring to the dialect of the Midlands, living in a single room above a squash court, and working in the club bar.[20] However, he returned to newly renamed KwaZulu Natal side a better cricketer; a lack of opportunities to bowl had improved his batting.[24]
Having seen Pietersen play at a school cricket festival, Clive Rice invited him to sign for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. Pietersen accepted without hesitation, keen to make the most of top-class cricket under a coach for whom he had the utmost admiration. He did not at this stage contemplate forsaking his nation; nor had it yet occurred to him that the decision would eventually have to be taken."

Neon you're a wumming fool
Not just the five months but his arrival at Notts under Clive Rice.
Notice he was never considered good enough to represent SA at any age.
County cricket turned him from a good prospect into a top international.
crazy for a fact you didnt need to bring india in your thread. It was completely unneccesary. seems like every team is measured by how india performs. if a team wins, india are crap, if a team loses, there are excuses that atleast they tried unlike india. I mean cant you guys wait for a month before we can talk about indian cricket?

I merely pointed out that WI achieved more in a weekend than India did in 2 months, what's wrong in that?
Also Viru, don't even try & talk about unnecessary threads as you are one of the world offenders on this site!

When England were playing rubbish cricket, England fans made fun of them. If Indian fans fail to make fun of their team after what they've displayed in England, someone needs to.
Speaking for myself making fun of India's cricket has worn thin, been there, done that.

Actually, It was a serious article with a small humorous twist... Unfortunately, someone took it the wrong way & started throwing their toys out of the pram.
Considering the absolute drumming England have just given India & the numerous posts from Indian fans about how India would destroy England (or somewhere along those lines) i have been very, very well behaved, just creating the odd "good humored" article.
