Leeds Utd v Forest Matchday Thread

Leeds United run the risk of giving more ground to the chasing pack. Can't see us getting anything from this apart from possession and more shots off target.

1-0 Forest.

Reverse psychology........

Great opening summary, well researched and presented. Looking forward to the game but with some trepidation. I expect this to be a pretty tight game and tbh either team could win it handsomely or nick it in a tight game. Leeds will definitely be feeling the pressure, with Fulham playing at Blackburn earlier. We haven’t had a draw between us for a while so I am going to predict an end to this and go for a draw. 1-1. Don’t forget Forest have the dreaded MOTM award curse to beat as well.

Anyone know the selected territories that the game is available on LUTV?

2-2 written all over it. Bamford tap in, kiko error from s cross, goal from set piece. Need a win as Brentford away is a home banker.

As I stated on my thread, I fear giving too much possession to Leeds will play right into their hands

I’m expecting a thumping, will happily take draw, I daren’t even consider a win

If you watched us play lately you should consider a win. We can't score, defend or make tactical changes.

Cue vague feeling of relief in Leeds, delight in Nottingham, Brentford and Preston

... and Fulham!

First priority is to stop Forest getting 3 points .. a win would be amazing, but given that we can't defend set-pieces or score goals, surprising

Ah, you never know, we might just do it .. then on to Brentford .. what price Pontus to score against us?

I was sharing my woes with Gertie the psychic goldfish about this one. 'You miserable fooker', she said, 'this is a team we battered at Elland Road, who just lost to Brum and haven't played a decent team at home since November, unless you count that 4-0 hammering by Wednesday.'
I replied that our last couple of outings have not been re-assuring, but Gertie carped on about Pablo coming into form with a goal, and Alioski fizzing one into the net to make it 2-0 to us.
But what about Grabban and Lolley, I asked? To which Gertie blew a couple of well-chosen raspberries.

You guys are in danger of taking your eye off the ball here, you seem more occupied with your visit to Brentford than on Forest, remember the old adage ‘one game at a time’. Brentford aren’t brilliant, but then again no team in this division is, but your record in the capital is worrying, we went their on won, no reason you can’t.
Enjoy today’s game first and worry about Brentford later, though the way this season is going, you’ll probably lose today and win at Brentford, that’s not a prediction, more an observation of the crazy league that is the Championship.

were going to win, the score doesn't matter. someones going to put one or maybe two in. solid team effort and everyone will be happy again. the end.

Think we've got to win today as most likely we won't win at Brentford. Have to turn this form around and start getting wins. Need to be looking at 11 wins in the next 16 which will be a monumental effort.

Forest and Leeds fans will be pleased to know that had the match been played at the proper time it would be finishing just as the storm is about to hit. However because of TV it will now be played in a tempest.

We need to win and not concede any goals, we've been leaking goals in like there was no tomorrow lately. Same v/s Brentford on Tues. and wipe the smile on Pontus' smug jaw, then it's game on.

Think you might have a better chance at Brentford than you do today because of the way they play. Then again you could win both or neither who knows.

We have to be thinking about these next two games as a great opportunity.

As bad as our results have been for about 10 games, we are still second. We are still capable of beating every team in this division. And if we go out and play close to our best, get 6 points from the next 2 games we will be huge favourites for promotion. The bad run will be almost forgotten.

Score first for the first time in how long? Since Birmingham and before that Cardiff? Anyway, score first is so important, do that and I will be very confident on going on to win.
