The usual rodeo? This hardly ever happens!
Not sure why it would be called off. Only thing I can think is that the wind would make it unplayable but that’s a hard judgement to make before the game has kicked off.
I would have to agree... especially in today's stadiums
PL games being called off is usually due to interrupted public transport or danger of people travelling to the game rather than the game being unplayable itself.

Indeed, and that surely doesn’t apply today.
previous games were called off quite close to kick off. for one (Sunderland?) I was nearly at the stadium, and another (CL qualifier) I'd just parked up. Weather shiyt at the mo but not that shiyt.
Sunderland game a few seasons back was called off at very short notice, we were almost at the ground. It was a bit like today and called off for public safety as programme kiosks and barriers were being blown over
why would they call it off? bit of wind? didnt u laugh at Klopp for complaining about weather conditions? get on with it

moving goal posts is exactly the problem
dont think they should be calling it off for the sake of 5 city fans making their way to the Emptihad either.
influencers will still get paid i'd assume.
in all seriousness its only 24mph winds in Manchester? thats 10-12mph less than most other areas?

Was when I was living in Sheffield. Was called off after I’d just got the train over and started walking up 😠

I’m not complaining about the conditions. I will be complaining if I virtually get there and it’s called off 👍

It surely does. There are replacement busses on local lines and delays expected nationally 👌
I live about 5 miles from the Etihad and the weather's pretty wild at the moment.
Fences and branches down all over.
I think it’s quite pathetic that with all the money in the league a game can still be called off because of bad weather. If a club doesn’t want to put a roof on their stadium then they should reconcile to playing in bad weather.
Nothing to do with the stadiums, it's about the safety of people trying to get there and back.

Fair point, sorry, I was looking more at the safety and didn’t really consider the transport delays.

It’s not even that bad for me tbf - unless I am blown into the canal walking up! I imagine most West Ham fans will already be well on the way to attempting to make their way to Manchester though, just inconsiderate if they pull it again so close to ko.
LIke Boris, I'm about 5 miles from the stadium, and it's looking pretty horrible outside. I just hope if it is cancelled they do it in good time. What's the point in cancelling after everyone has already set out?
