Well it’s definitely not money laundering, is it?

What a well researched article.

Sportswashing, guilty as charged. Money laundering? Can't see why they'd have to do that.

It's the opposite of money laundering, it's money burning.

Take a piiiss poor failing business with no brand value, assetts, goodwill, earnings potential or future value whatsoever, pump ridiculous amounts of cash into it, far more than it could ever be worth, vastly outspend everyone in the universe, act like you've done something special when you win a couple of league trophies, stick their crest on the tail fins of your aeroplanes like winning a few trophies legitimises your shoddy regime, pump more cash in, rinse and repeat.

City is valued at 2bn, how does that fit into your rant?

Always called it out for its sports washing.

When you have about 40,000 people backing your regimes actions on social media because you bunged the club they identify with a few billion quid.

2bn without the Sheikhs money? You sure you'd have to pay that?

They don't even own their own ground

Yes, of course you would. We’re valued at that because that is the value that shares were actually sold valuing the club at.

You can put a £500 sticker on a pan loaf, Melts, doesn't mean anyone will buy it.

It's not City's valuation, it's Deloittes.

Depends..

You could use a related company to buy it to offset their profits, transfer said profits to another entity and avoid tax

posted on 15/2/20

But someone did buy it at that price though, that’s the point.

Oh, so the ownership of the club changed hands..? Who is the new owner?

posted on 15/2/20

13% of it got sold to a Chinese consortium, that’s exactly where that valuation came from.

How would yo sell United then?

For Sale:
Enterprise in industrial area with heavy debt and dependency on overseas visitors. Will require constant and significant investment to pay wage bill. Currently operating in mortgaged, ageing premises. Haven't qualified for significant European revenue streams for 2 years.

For Sale:
Manchester United.

Oh I see.. so based on 13% of the entity that was sold during a very good year for Man City it will reflect the value of that as well as the remainder of the 87% forever?

Don’t be so facking daft.. if Arkwright duped people into blpaying over the odds for ginger cake it doesn’t make him a millionaire.

posted on 15/2/20

Yes of course, that was the value of the share price, what else do you think valuations are based on?!

Our balance sheet has grown since then too, not reduced, why would you focus just on the p&l?
