Would be an excellent addition to our squad.

Indeed.

Pay as play or 12 months contract

posted on 19/2/20

I figure pay per play sounds great in principle but has the potential to create resentment between player and manager or squad without it being any of their fault.

I would rather offer a 2-year contract on moderate wage.

posted on 19/2/20

Didn't realise he was on such a good wage 110k a week according to some sauces. As he'd be a free transfer I doubt he'd accept much less than that.

To be fair with Lallana, I think it was more injury than age and regression of quality. I think he has that creativity from outwide and cutting in that we would be looking to add to in our squad but definitely agree this should be an ‘as well as’ signing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lallana is not a wide player cutting in anymore. He's much better floating around the attacking areas and especially with his work rate and energy, in pressing from the front.

we don’t play with wingers so even in a ‘wider’ role he’d still be playing in a creative position

Yes but what I am saying is he's a different player than he was when he was younger and you'd be losing a lot of his best work if you stuck him out wide. He hasn't had a good game out wide in years. When out wide he tends to slow attacks down as he doesn't have the pace or craft to beat players.

As mentioned, we don’t really play attacking midfielders ‘outwide’ as we simply don’t have an outwide (for the best or worst) so it sounds like he may be a decent addition for us as that point in his career

Perez is a striker who is isn’t good enough to play in that position for a top 6 team so is trying/Being asked to play out of position...with moderate success

Lallana is by far a better player than Perez. Would be a terrific addition and would suit our attacking press

Err - don't we need a proper winger?

posted on 20/2/20

I think Rodgers sees that position as more of an inside forward anyway.

When I wrote that comment, I originally included 'someone with pace who can get down to the byeline', realised I was describing Gray and cut it back to what I posted!

Two signings you should be looking at for the wings. Ryan Fraser and Harry Wilson. Sorted.

I’ve never been a fan of Ryan Fraser - he looks too immobile. Good assists record though.

Both good players, out of the two I prefer Fraser, but Wilson is very good.

Yeah I'm recommending them to Leicester. United can feck off. You can buy Albrighton for £50m.
