Tyson - New hate figure?

We have not signed him yet

I don't think people will be as upset because most Forest fans don't really think Tyson has a place in the starting line up. Kris was probably our star player at the time and a self-professed Forest fan as a kid which made it hard to stomach. Tyse has been loyal and at times a great player but not too many will worry about him joining your lot.

I don't see what the problem is. So what if he waved a flag. I never understand this perceived insult that some football fans seem to feel. They are happy to dish out all sorts of insults to players but then go on a massive mardy if the player does anything back. Like the pathetic Arsenal supporters who acted like school kids when Adebayor scored and celebrated in front of them at Man City. Please sir Adebayors taunting us. Grow up and accept if you can't take don't dish it out.

Who really cares if he waved a flag in front us,if we sign him he will give one hundred percent for us, if he scores the winner against the red s**** he will be an hero, the truth of the fact is, we as football fans are very fickle

Teg I have to say, I only got 'into' the old Tyson-Flag-Robbie-Scarf thing because it's all good pantomime handbags and fuel for the rivalry, but let us not forget, in the main, and particularly these days, footballers are professionals who move as and when required to either further or maintain their career, nothing more, nothing less. That is not to disparage their commitment to whatever shirt they're wearing at the time, it's what I expect as professional to do. So having said all that, if he comes to us, I'll judge him by what he does on the pitch in our shirt, and certainly not on any past history.

I just tried to put Sav's full surname in that last article, and the site has told me its a banned word!!! It's official, JA606 must be run by Red Dogs!

I'm sure Forest fans will resent him coming here especially if he does well which I hope he does. But, with a Derby shirt on he will be a different character and it would be madness if we didn't give him our total support

even tho it's going to be interesting how the rams fans take to mr flag waver, i tend to agree with mo-hacker-ram. proof is in the pudding.

speaking of puddings, i see TEG has wandered in.

Forest fans will show absolutely no animosity or resentment towards Tys. He has always given 100% and shown a very professional attitude. He has not really fulfilled the initial promise he showed. Last season he was played out of position and eventually forced out of the club in much the same way that Grant Holt was.

I actually think a change of club will give him a big boost in confidence which is what he has lacked. If you play him as a striker he will be a good signing for you and the best striker on your books.

However he is not going to turn round your fortunes. Only getting rid of NLN and bringing in a more tactically astute manager can do that. You will still have a season long relegation battle, and Tys wont have the heart to score against The Mighty Reds and upset the fans who appreciated him so much.

Good Luck Tys, wherever you end up

Nathan's let me know that he wants to sign a three year £20,000 per week contract and then go on strike for the whole of it. Sounds like a good idea to me.

On the other hand, if he has to climb through the dressing room window to escape Derby, at least no-one can catch him.

And Commons our best player when he left? He was one of our better reserves at the time.

Kris Commons was supposed to be a true Forest supporter, but walked out on Forest to play for Derby cos the wages were better. Tyson on the other hand was a Forest player not supporter and i do not see why any Forest supporter would not wish him all the best.

I'm a true Forest fan but I'd play for Derby for 10k a week plus a signing on fee instead of 5k a week at Forest. Anyone that says otherwise is either a liar or stupid. It's dead easy to say u wouldn't when ya not in that position

Agree with redfor50years, he'll get a clean slate with almost all derby fans, just a quick thought on what redfor50 mentioned about Grant Holt, why was he forced out? Still can't believe what he's done since he left you guys, didn't even think he was championship class never mind prem!

TEG
We had a good thread posted by a Forest fan on this subject on the old 606. I think you are right. We allow our hearts/emotions as fans to rule our heads, but for football players, it is a job, one they have been training for since their early teens.

I think most Forest fans will view the Tyson situation as him being nudged towards the exit with the contract that was offered to him.
Most will understand that he has to put his own career and family first.

In my opinion the time is right for him to move on,he gives a 100% and Derby fans will warm to him but I imagine a few months down the line your fans opinions of his ability as a player will pretty much mirror that of Forest fans.

All I can say Albert to the sheep is dont expect him to be the next KFC. He had the ability to produce a bit of magic and win games on his own. Tyson doesn't have that, they'll all be on the edge of their seats when he knocks the ball past a full back into loads of space but they will soon realise that there is never an end product whether that be a shot or cross. As for Billy playin him out of position that is a load of craaap (can't even say this word on here....lol). Love him or loathe him sheep Billy gets the best out of most players. If Billy saw him as forward he would have played him there. The truth is he got played out wide because his lack of goalscoring ability.
