The games coming up are against Norwich at home, Spurs away, Brighton at home, West Ham away, Bournemouth at home, Villa away.

Be disappointing if we don't improve our league position by the end of that run of games, hopefully back to a position of European qualification. Those games are followed by a run of three games that will probably be crucial for our final league position against Arsenal at home, Sheff Utd away and Everton at home.

First comes Norwich who have played nice football every time I have seen them and are certainly a team not to under estimate. What has worked against them is that they play an open game and aren't really good enough to do so.

I agree that we should pick up some points in those next 6 games but as for moving up the table is concerned we have to rely on Spurs, Man U and Sheffield United dropping points at the same time. Looking at the table below only Spurs look likely to drop any serious points which is not going to help our league position much at all.

Wolves
Feb 23 Norwich H
Mar 01 Spurs A
Mar 07 Brighton H
Mar 15 West Ham A
Mar 21 Bournemouth H
April 04 Villa A

Spurs
Feb 22 Chelsea A
Mar 01 Wolves H
Mar 07 Burnley A
Mar 15 Man United H
Mar 20 West Ham H
April 04 Sheffield United A

Man U
Feb 23 Watford H
Mar 01 Everton A
Mar 08 Man City H
Mar 15 Spurs A
Mar 21 Sheffield United H
April 04 Brighton A

Sheffield United
Feb 22 Brighton H
Mar 01 FA Cup game
Mar 07 Norwich H
Mar 14 Newcastle A
Mar 21 Man United A
April 04 Spurs H

Surprising that Norwich who won the Championship by a good margin from Sheffield Utd last season are now trailing them by 18 points in the Premier League.

Sheffield United have done amazingly well this season. Although you could argue that they have been helped by below performances from Man U, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton, they have done exactly what Wolves did last season. So much so that they are currently 6th in the table with 39 points, on this day last season Wolves were 7th with 39 points.

I keep thinking Sheffield United’s results will start to falter and I still think they will drop away a little in the remaining months. Mind you I have been saying that since October

Everyone has, still waiting.

Ditto.

Easy to dismiss them as competitive runners, good athletes with a great attitude (all of which they are) but they clearly have more than enough quality to compete at this level. Would be interesting to see how they would cope if they did lose 3 or 4 on the trot, Wilder instills a lot of confidence in to them but if that bit of doubt started creeping in would they falter?

The last two were always going to change because they are on the weekend after the Europa League Quarter Finals on the Thursdays. Not that we have got through the last 32 or last 16 rounds yet!

The last one could change again depending on how Sheffield United get on in the FA Cup

Yeah right that's why he comes crowing on here every time they win a game.
Recently I told him
"Personally I find your team insignificant and your comments purile at best. Maybe if you manage to win the chumpionship this time (doubtful) you will be taken more seriously when we play you in the league.
For now we are far too busy pushing for a Champions League place whilst contesting the last 32 of the Europa League to be bothered with 2nd tier teams."

Perhaps that has something to do with why we are "no longer on his radar"

I pointed out that he’s instigated numerous threads about Wolves. “Second Season Syndrome” (yawn) for example. He’s hiding now. We are a million miles ahead of them now.

I've just been reading one of his posts where he says that he hopes West Ham get relegated because they have 2 players that he would like. I was going to point out to him that success in the Prem is not brought about by players from relegated teams but the poor sap is so deluded that I simply couldn't be arzed

Well taken goal by Mitrovic though. Newcastle could have done with keeping him

Norwich’s first choice centre back Zimmerman has a hamstring injury and will miss the game at Molineux. With other players out with long term injuries they only have two fit centre backs, Hanley and Godfrey. They have only played as their centre backs together three times this season, way back towards the start of the season. Norwich conceded 8 in those three games

There was one amazing moment in the Espanyol game that went largely unnoticed. Neves played in Jimenez on the right and then sprinted into the Espanyol area for the return ball but Raul’s pass was blocked

It was the first time Neves had been seen in the opponents area since before the war. Hopefully the nose bleed won’t keep him out of Sunday’s game
