Me too although he always showed promise in my eyes.

I don’t mean this to come across offensive but

Fred’s form from an outsider has improved when he’s not been playing with a higher calibre of player. It’s meant he’s been able to concentrate on doing the simple things well which he seemed to struggle with early on while playing with Pogba

Well he was playing with Fernandes who is a high calibre player and performed well.

He was playing well before Fernandes arrived. My point is that Pogba’s injury has done him the world of good.

Scores two goals against a 10 man Belgian side and this board praising him like he is Michael Carrick.

Doesn't start for City, Chelsea, Leicester and maybe even Arsenal. Even after his improvement.

He's far surpassed what I thought he was capable of, so I'm pleased to say I was wrong on Fred. But he's not better than Herrera in my view.

Herrera won player of the year... Won trophies

At the minute he's been a better player for us than Fred

Fred was a disaster last season... Been good for most of this season so far

Hopefully he continues to improve and build on this season

Not basing this on tonight by the way.

what lies are you spouting
maybe this will be somewhat credible if you did not post it after he bags his 2nd and 3rd goal for utd, in a game that we win 5-0 against 10 men

I am happy he has improved, I used to say he was worse than djemba djemba but I am starting to think he could be a good player. But let's not exaggerate. At the weekend against watford he was awful misplacing 5 yard passes and getting harrassed off the ball by watfords midfield.

Fred is a good mufc level player. Always has been.

Herrera was not remotely even an epl level player.

Just not comparable. He was a clueless, directionless pointless acquisition.

Only those that just don't get the game could see it any other way - and there appears to be plenty of those

They're at a similar level but think at the minute Herrera probably edges him out, will change if fred goes up another notch though

Starts for all of those teams mentioned on current form.

......

He is playing well because he is getting a good run of games under his belt. Nothing to do with not playing with Pogba.

Amazing how he got player of the year. See you in two weeks for your next useless addition to the board.

Herrera was massively overrated and such a limited player. Turned out to be a snake in the end too.

Fred has come in and done a great job.

Glad he's getting recognition for it. A lovely couple of goals tonight.

In the time they were both at the club, Herrera was clearly the better player.

Fred showing some signs of promise now doesn’t change that.

Completely disagree with all what you said about Herrera. He was probably our big game player and performed more often than not in the big games. He was reliable but not spectacular. His game management was excellent and it was the clubs fault and nit Herreras that he has gone. Waiting til right at the end of his contract before offering him a new one. Anothee amateur error by the club but he was a decent player who played for the badge and we could have done with him numerous times thus season

Still think he lacks a few fundamentals to be a top quality player. He often turns into trouble, gives the ball away too often, delays a pass and his positioning leaves a lot to be desired if he's the defensive option in a three.

I think the stood out in a very poor period for us mid way through the season and people have gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. Realistically if we're ti gzttbac'we challanging he's a squad player imo.

A snake? Jose didn't play him or want him to he made up his mind to move. He had already agreed a deal with PSG before Ole took over and honoured that decision. Nothing snakey about that. He had a contract with us and he saw that contract out and never gave less than 100% when he was on the pitch. If the rest of the payers we have had since SAF retired had put in the same effort as Herrera then we would have done much better.

i always thought herrera was a very good player and would be a big loss for the team as i thought fred wasn't up to it. glad to see him doing okay because he puts in the effort. the midfield is starting to take shape.
when everyone is fit is pogba in the plans for next year?
