To be fair to him he hasn't had a real look in since before Xmas, so it's not going to be easy for him to just slot in straight away.
That said when you do get the chance you need to be showing the manager what he's been missing!
"After disappearing without anything really being said by Frank, Tomori returned yesterday to remind us and Frank probably why he hadn't been playing. Seems to make so many unforced errors by dwelling on the ball or lapses in concentration."
As opposed to Rudi who has been nothing short of underwhelming 🗑
Supposed to be an "experienced leader"...positionally play, constant ball-watching, rashness and pace to bail himself is like a rookie.
Often gets glossed over.
Tomori should get more chances on that basis.
Fully support the correct decision to drop Rudi (regardless of Tomori''s s one-off underperformance yesterday).
Level-playing field
More importantly is the failure of Lampard to establish a settled back line. Until that happens, our degensive problems are set to continue.
Tomori has some great attributes, but I am yet to see him play in a game where he doesn't make at least one absolute howler. That suggests an issue to do with mental strength and concentration.
Our back for should be James Rudi Zooms Tomori...until we buy better...if we do
