Anyone still want this fraud in charge?

Levy won't give Mourinho the squad required to compete, so I doubt he will be here long. Hiring Mourinho was probably a box office decision, who better to sell an Amazon documentary, Levy seeing the pound signs again.

Jose in. £12m a year, he won't be sacked anytime time soon so due to the amount compo he will be owed. Man up and get behind him. Anyone who still pines for the serial loser and the man who cried in a SEMI final is deluded. Get behind him and team. COYS!

I still can't work out what has happened at Spurs.

So much discontent after reaching the CL and finishing top four. Bizarre.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs have been overrated for a while now. They over achieved last season, but it was obvious they needed to freshen up their squad a bit and spend some money. The Champions League final just papered over the cracks.

Just shows what complacency and lack of investment from the board can do.

Yeh, I tend to agree - but doesn't it also show what a good job Poch was doing?

This thread inspired me to look through my old posts from back when Pochettino was booted and Mourinho brought in (there's not that many, I don't post that much):

I'd be amazed if he makes it to Xmas 2020

Mourinho is not going to last 3 seasons with us. What would the facking point be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's his method mate.

Season 1 - sign a 5 year deal, complain at what he inherited, demand money.

Season 2 - spend a facking fortune, win something with dour football.

Season 3 - start complaining again, sow discontent throughout the club, get himself sacked with a nice fat payout leaving club in disarray.

Season 4 - sit quiet long enough for people to forget how poisonous he is, slowly increase public exposure with punditry.

Season 5 - blag a new gig, start again at season 1.

There's no doubt Mourinho will bring a short-term boost. The question is what state he's going to leave Spurs in when he's left a complete clusterfack at his last few clubs.

That's the issue for me. I'll happily support Mourinho as long as he's delivering for the club, but I'll never rest especially easy while he's at the helm because he has such a bad record of souring everything after 2 seasons in a job.

I still think the manner of his sacking and replacement do a huge disservice to Pochettino, but that's in the past now. The bigger issue for me is that Levy has taken a huge risk with Mourinho, and history tells us that the short-term success he could well bring may well come at the cost of the team's long-term health.

Only time will tell, but in the meantime Mourinho has my tentative, heavily sceptical support.

At least yesturday's performance was better than the two previous games where we should zero intent.

Cut the individual mistakes out and we have a half a chance of salvaging something from this season. Not really bothered about finishing in the Europa league spots, would rather have no European football next season. CL football is done as far as I am concerned.

you've improved massively under him. What are you going on about?

under poch you were heading for a bottom half finish.

wolves will probably get top 4. no shame in losing to them. they are comfortably a superior side to spurs.

Yes, I want him In charge . Give the guy a chance for crying out loud.
Not Long been in and acquired a squad that has lacked investment for 2 windows, ageing defenders and missing key players including strikers. It really is a team in transition.

Getting someone else in now won’t make one bit of difference just wasting a fortune in getting rid of him and bringing a new guy in.
What Mourinho needs is funds to get the player he Wants and suits how we wants to play.

We have players like Winks, Dele, DIer, Alderweireld, Vertonghen and a few more who are just not up to it. Mourinho or no Mourinho. We haven’t obviously learnt our lessons in getting rid of one our best ever managers in Poch.

Bringing another high profile manager in has obviously not made much difference so clearly the issue lies elsewhere.

ffs sometimes I hate being associated with our fan base

You're all so piiiissed off all the time that you're all just looking to blame someone and everyone for the current poor situation

it's been Levy
it's been Poch
it's been Jose
it's been the players
it's been Joe Lewis

I only saw the first half yesterday and I was very happy with what I saw regardless of conceding a goal

As I don't know what's gone on in the background, I haven't got a clue as to whom the blame needs to be attributed to, but for pretty much 90% of our fan base who have not given Jose a fair crack at the whip to be on his back every second of the season is nothing short of embarrassing

Again, don't get me wrong, I wanted Poch to stay, I am not a Jose fanboy, but the situation is the situation

if Jose leaves, we're stuck with the same players that everyone on here is moaning about throughout every game we watch:

Aurier
Davies
Verntonghen
Dier
Winks
Sissoko
Lucas
Dele

Do you lot think that sacking Jose will miraculously turn these poor performers / poor players into world beaters? No.

we Saw it under Poch, and we're seeing it under Jose

it's gonna take an awful lot of money to rectify this situation and that is with or without Jose

some of you need to pull your shat together and support the team rather than whinging and bitching like little facking babies

...............and breathe........
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and also, off the back of that rant above, as I mentioned, I was quite happy and comfortable with the first half performance, logged onto Ja606 to see that the match thread suggested the majority of others seemed to feel the same way

we lose the game and all of a sudden, it's Jose's fault again

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, someone taking sensibly. Agree, makes it more depressing when you come on here and see a load of Shiite

I only turned on about a minute before the first wolves goal and I thought it was another average performance with no control, structure or pattern of play.

Then when we went 3-2 down his subs were very strange.

Ended up with Gedson & winks as our full backs ffs

Ndombele has proven nothing mate other than an absolute fraud and a flop of a signing that can’t last longer than 60 mins without looking like he’s dead on his feet. Pochettino could see it. Mourinho can see it. We have wasted 65 mil on a utter crock.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really surprised at Ndombele. I saw him dominate City’s mid in a champion’s league game last season and thought he looked world class.
Also thought he was bound for City but Pep opted for Rodri- in hindsight, a brilliant call.
I still reckon the Frenchman will come through for you lot. He has got the skill set to succeed here.

Back into the topic as a big poch fan and someone who didn’t want Jose I still believe he has to be given at minimum til next January to find his players and style.

It’s a huge summer to see how serious levy is about us being a top team.

100%. If we are still playing really poorly and no signs of improvement by halfway next season, then I will hold my hands up and say Jose isn’t for us, but he needs the whole of the summer to draft in his own team and stamp his authority properly. Like I keep saying, judge Mourinho properly next season.

I completely understand the view of giving him the summer and seeing how we do next season. However, I see absolutely nothing to suggest anything will improve.

He will be given minimal funds and Levy is unlikely to sell much deadwood so he will be working with a similar squad next year. I'd rather we cut our losses now and went for a manager who fits levy's constraints.

Like who?

No one would have got this group playing any better.

Too many average players.
Too many players that have regressed.
Injuries to key players.

It's all on Levy IMO
