2-1 win Ennis/Taylor/sadler
I’ll go with the draw at 1-1. Sadlier to score. Wishing for a win of course!
1-1. Ramsey
Small Azza
MK Dons 1-2 Rovers
Cole to score
Hope for a win, could be a draw, don't need a defeat. So I'll go for 3.1 victory, Sadlier first goal, Anderson if he doesn't start.
Good that our goal came about from short passing in our own box between Dieng and Anderson.

I do not know what DM said at half-time, but this really was a game of two halves. MK Dons should have been out of sight by then if they had taken some of the chances they had, but they did not give Dieng much to do except pluck balls out of the air - thankfully back to top form in catching balls. He did give them one of their chances with a crazy pass out that was intercepted by one of their forwards.
Nearly all players were below form in the first half. Even Ramsey was very quiet and made errors, and Ennis was having a poor game, and missed the best chance, heading wide from a very good cross to him. I'd have subbed him off at half time. He missed another good chance with his feet in the second half and was taken off and replaced by Taylor. Talk about one player igniting a game! On this performance, he should not have been left out for so long. Occasionally he had a go for goal when maybe he should have passed, but for the goal he powered by their full back and Ramsey timed his run superbly to power Taylor's cross into the roof of the net with a great strike.
Cole, who if I'd been manager, would have been a candidate to be taken-off at half-time, did improve in the second period, holding up the ball well on occasions. However, his first touch lets him down on too many tines - like Marquis, but without the goals!
In the last minute of added time, Dieng made the only save he had to make in the half, and preserved the win for us. I wish we could keep him.
Another away win without??
Lanza, I really shouldn’t ask this ..........but what happened when he didn’t play at Shrewsbury and Gillingham? I know, I shouldn’t get drawn in but what the heck.
Hound i thought better of you lol.
Just enjoying the sun here in lanza .
Keep the reports coming lads.
Confidence will obviously be boosted by the second half performance and MKD did look impressive in the first. If we had missed the chances they created we would not be pleased.
So we beat a team who looked as good as any we have played; all that is needed now is reliable defensive performances that do not depend on the opposition's failure to seize the opportunities which they create.
There seems to be a determined effort to "big up" Devante Cole's part in every game, yet in the first half every time he was involved I got the impression that his contribution often marked the end of a promising move. It makes me wonder whether he is the preferred leader of the line rather than Okenabirhie who I think looks more effective. Or perhaps someone will tell me that their roles are not more or less identical
I begin to wonder if DM really does have a plan or good results are more by accident than design. You cant really see why Taylor hasnt been starting recently. He was the difference on Saturday. Alas I think No 26 will be restricted to the bench more often than not for the rest of the season. If you look at the talent DM now has at his disposal we really ought to be a top 6 finisher, but Im not convinced we will make it.
We play like we did first half next Tuesday, I dread to think of not only the score but the damage it'll do to the players confidence. Yes its 3pts a clean sheet and an away victory. But to me, I still dont think DM knows what his best team is, I dont buy into this change the team because we're playing a different team week in week out. Its league division 3, not champions league. I can go with playing one up front or playing two defensive midfielders depending on our opponents. Not changing a winning team every week as it does nothing but put doubts in the minds of players.
Sorry for the delay in posting this. The optimists were the winners, but nor surprisingly they were in the minority.
I see that John Haselden, a long serving player and club captain has died and I remember him well. 76 may not seen all that old to some of us, but he seemed to have had a good life in football after leaving Rovers.
I saw a piece about the talented, yet explosive-tempered Tony Coleman recently too, now aged 74 if he is still with us, having been said to have moved to Australia. A bit like soldiers killed in wars, it is difficult to imagine them grown old. Only when you see them over the years, like Harry Gregg for example can you adjust the image you have of them.
Much speculation as to what could be the final outcome of League 1 has taken place, but no one, so far has managed to project Rovers into the play-off positions. Marosi has been voted the League 1 goalkeeper of the season so far, illustrating what many of us believed; ie that the club consistently undervalued him.
It will be interesting to see how the season is tied up because it would not be fair if it were not completed.
