Fabinho should be binned for the game imo. He has been a passenger and we cant afford it vs Athletico. Plus he will serve no purpose at home when we will dominate.

Hopefully Adrian has his sheet together otherwise we could be in for a shock. Not sure what's happened to him since his first stint, but he looked nervous yesterday and that filters to the other players. This is why Allison is the best keeper in the world, because of how calm he is. Anyway, hopefully we'll do em and we go through to the next round.

I think that's the type of game we need him in. He's excellent at recycling the ball and keeping the opposition penned in. This allows the other midfielders and full backs to push up. I'd keep playing him, he'll come back into form.

this is exactly.why we are too easy to play for atleti.

let's play 7 forwards and then have fabinho wander about somewhere in front of the two cbs and hope to ot get exposed.

you.cannot just push up.like that cos you.kill space. you have to create it before you move onto it.

If, big if weds doesn't go as planned then we can't allow the season to end in a damp squib. Momentum is a big thing and if we go into friendly mode it will bite us next season. Aim will still be to break City top flight point record.

Liverpool an win for sure and over turn the score in the first goal but the omens aren't good.Athletico have a shrewd defence that rarely concedes and the won team you don't need losing an early goal to really.

They are capable of parking two buses. I suspect they may try for a goal though so it may offer some hope. They are hardly prolific this year and even their goal was a slice of good luck. Be a good but tense game

Atletico have concede 21 league goals in 27 matches. Liverpool have conceded 21 league goals in 29 matches. We have scored more than double their goals.

It won't be easy but there is a reasonable chance that Liverpool will get the win.

So the tactic that's practically won us the league should be binned? And wandering about? Give over. He's clearly more disciplined than that and the formation is interchangeable between transitions. We've dominated possession all season with this formation so don't see why it should be changed now.
