I'm not an avid 'Pogba out' fan, however I also don't think he walks back into the team.

We finally have a balanced midfield and as good as he is, he slows it down.

want Pogba to leave. I've even seen people describe him as a 'liability'. Do you watch the same United team? - In some games, especially big ones, he most certainly has been.

OK so he attracts a lot of press attention.. Do you not remember the likes of David Beckham, Cantona, Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo, etc? - moot point, do you think this is why any utd fan would want him gone solely for this reason?

Do you want to be a big club or not? Big clubs deal with immense pressure and big characters because you need big personalities to win the biggest prizes. - they also sling out poor personalities and build a strong dressing room. Pogba does not add to this from most accounts.

Pogba has been our best outfield player for years but he's had little to no support. He is not behaving any different to how a Rooney or Ronaldo did in their prime. - No he hasn't, and to compare him to rooney or ronaldo on the pitch is ridiculous. They had years of consistency, he has not.

The only difference is, if Pogba stays, we could get his best years here at United rather than him going to Madrid and winning multiple Ballon Dors and champions leagues for them like Ronaldo did. - he would not win a single ballon d'or.

Stop being so emotional. - stop being silly.

Oh I am of the opinion that a motivated, focused Pogba is a HUGE benefit to Utd

The Pogba who is using his agent to make the club dance to their tune is not as beneficial, depends which Pogba comes to play?

Really hope it's the first

Best midfielder in the world if he stays. Overrated and toxic if he leaves. I don't watch him play.

We need a quality squad. He doesn't walk aback into the team but lets say we find a formation or line up that brings the best out of Bruno and Paul? Worth a try surely?

Mino is Mino. Inside the club, they love Paul. There's no evidence that Paul is asking Mino to do anything and tbh, it really isn't that deep.

If he wins us a couple of titles or Champions leagues over the next 6/7 years who cares?

Maybe, just not sure I trust him to give 100% every game. I wouldn't be against someone like Grealish taking his place.

I'm not denying Pogba's quality and I've always said ability-wise he was our best player. Doesn't make him what's best for the team though.

Pogba record in PL isn't good enough. Since he has been here we have struggled for wins in the PL. look at Fernandez, that is the impact we needed from Pogba.

I don’t doubt his quality - he’s probably our best player when on full form.

What I know is in doubt is his desire, application, attitude and rationale for being at United. Say what you want about Mou, but he’s right saying that someone like that can destabilise the dressing room and it’s infectious. And it has happened.

Plus Raiola is a clown who I want no where near our club.

Pogba has had years to prove himself at United, and in my opinion he’s not done that at all. To compare him to Cantona, Rooney and Ronaldo is quite frankly laughable.

Fernandes autocorrects it to z.

Pogba has continually been asked to play a DM role and still bags assists that win us games. If Bruno had to stay in that position he would not be anywhere near as positive and effective as an in form pogba. Yes, Bruno had has a positive influence on the squad but let's see how we fair next season when all the excitement calls down and opposition players start marking him out of games.

He'll never win a ballon d'or no matter where he plays, he's just not at that level.

No bother The Gentleman Entrepreneur.

If he genuinely wants to stay, knuckles down, and tells Raiola to keep his gob shut, then we have a top player on our hands.

If not, then I'd happily sell him and reinvest the funds in a replacement/attacking areas.

Just who exactly is going to pay what United want for him? - it may happen, but we do need to consider the scenario where he is still with us next season because United should no way give him away!!

posted on 11/3/20

I think it's strange that you find it so bemusing as to why some might prefer him to be sold, and others brought in with the funds.

posted on 11/3/20

IF he did go and we got a few quid I would be fine if it was reinvested in say Verati at PSG or a similar type?

Part of the problem, for me anyway, is the current uncertainty moving forward, if the situation is still like this come May then it's a major problem, doubt it will be though

because he is our best outfield player and only a few months ago fans were planning a mass walkout because they were unhappy with the way the in is run, yet when it comes to.pogba, people have very short memories.

Imagine this scenario...

Bruno came to us 3 years ago and for 3 years played as a deep lying cm rather than a free role further forward. How consistent and effective would he be and lets say mino rioloa was his agent, what do you think would happen? Ok now let's say Bruno won the world cupnone of those years, do you think the result would be any different?

From which accounts?

I would say from most accounts the exact opposite is true.

I have no problem reinvesting the money but let's be honest, we are not exactly strapped for cash and we are unlikely to command neymar money for pogba

There have been plenty of games where Pogba has had the freedom to get forward, he's not played DM every game for us. The issue has been when he has ventured forwards, his lack of workrate to track opposition midfielders who run forward.

Compare that to how hard Fernandes has worked, even despite being further forward in terms of average position.

I'd love Pogba to stay, and for us to find the best position for him, he's a brilliant player.

The point I made was that it's completely understandable and certainly not 'strange' that many would prefer other players to come in, that may fit our current system better, without all the baggage Pogba has.

I was making a comparison to the Ronaldo transfer where I think he outshine all expectations, otherwise we would have asked for double what we sold him for. To say he would never win a ballon for is different to saying he has the potential to.
