In a minority with cech as the best, I do wonder if many who say schmiechel are old enough, but anyways

Cech
Neville Vidic Terry Cole
Ronaldo Lampard Vieira Hazard
Henry Aguero

but changes every minute

I'm not old enough tbh but I know if I suggest Cech that everyone will just say Schmeichal anyway, so what's the point.

How is it possible to name 4 CBs and for none of them to be John Terry, the greatest CB in PL history unquestionably.

He’s not even Chelsea’s best CB ever

Wouldn't be 5th or 6th either. Wouldn't be the first Chelsea CB I picked either.

posted on 18/3/20

Of course he is. I get that he's not the best human being but he was the greatest CB in PL history.

in your opinion, and carvahlo is underrated in general. But John Terry is the best of the pl era imo, and has the awards and stats to back it up.

Terry's comeback in 14/15 is what cemented it for me and puts him above Ferdinand. Up until that point they'd had similar careers, but Terry came back and had an outstanding season as he captained his team to the PL title.

I think he is the greatest but unfortunately his personal life will always count against him. To suggest Vidic is above him is laughable. Yes Vidic was a great player, but Terry was undoubtedly more of a PL great.

I did comment on it, but why would I be hurt? It's not like the article stated that Van Dijk and Ferdinand were the two best CBs in PL history, it was just comparing the two.

The article did inspire this article though. It got me thinking about what my all time team would be and that's why I made this.

Pretty good return
Mcgrath what a defender he was. His performance against Baggios Italy in 1994.
Was a graet 2 part series on the last 2 Mondays on Irish TV called the boys in green about the days under Jack and then qualifying for WC 2002.
Ah memories.
