ooh fab 1man and hebdo - flowers and strawberries and cream - you're spoiling me Ambassador
I'd love a Ferrero Rocher about now - if only I could taste anything

He has his own place, so we are both isolating. Unfortunately not together - very sad
Day 2 of our isolation. 5 days to go and counting until we can be together . . .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How come you're only isolating for 7 days?

I thought it was 14 days standard, maybe more if you're vulnerable. Might be wrong though
Anosmia, the loss of sense of smell, and ageusia, an accompanying diminished sense of taste, have emerged as peculiar telltale signs of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and possible markers of infection.
On Friday, British ear, nose and throat doctors, citing reports from colleagues around the world, called on adults who lose their senses of smell to isolate themselves for seven days, even if they have no other symptoms, to slow the disease’s spread. The published data is limited, but doctors are concerned enough to raise warnings.
“We really want to raise awareness that this is a sign of infection and that anyone who develops loss of sense of smell should self-isolate,” Prof. Claire Hopkins, president of the British Rhinological Society, wrote in an email. “It could contribute to slowing transmission and save lives.”
I have no other symptoms.
Fair enough, only place I've seen saying 7 days - I would have isolated myself for 2 week by mistake
Don't worry, I'll be self isolating for longer if needs be. I have enough food to last me - when you can't taste it, it becomes less interesting. I am only eating enough calories to sustain me.
Yeah I can imagine! You really take things like taste for granted.
I hope you feel better soon
thanks
This is what I just cooked up - caramelised butter and syrup until really dark and added 2 bananas and an apple and spread it all on two slices of wholemeal toast.
Filled me up, but tasted nothing
Perhaps you should have had some Gorgonzola with it Kitty !
I'd love to taste some Gorgonzola.
It could be argued that supporting Sheff Wed shows a lack of taste anyway

En garde
Only a few days in and although, Im a lucky one being able to WFH, this week has just been work/eat/sleep repeat, interspersed with the odd hour of rubbish telly.
Having booked Monday and Tuesday off a month back, I now have four days to fill, at home, on my own.
Im told something called Game of Thrones is worth a watch?
Im a lucky one being able to WFH,
-------
I would say that is unlucky, it is much better still being able to go to work as normal.
It is and it isn't
Wrestling feeling of relief, guilt and trepidation
Oldie, I was sceptical about GOT but my missus said I should give it a go.
Must say once you get hooked it is brilliant. Make sure you start at the beginning, I didn't and it took me a while to get it. Watch the first few series later and I intend to watch it all again soon.
If BoJo had followed his own advice and worked from home he wouldn't have Covid-19 now would he?

Well yes but can't think of many non "front line" jobs where you can safely do that now. Im sure there are many but few come to mind.
Im lucky in that Im still able to function and earn a full salary as opposed to those being laid off or put on furlow, business owners and self employed who must be facing great uncertainty at present.

You can suspend your Sky Sports subscription, just log on to Sky Sports.
I can still see it, but you don't have to pay. Just reset when its back to normal.
