Should do really. Complete reset, Poch back. We go again.

I believe that that COVID-19 may have salvaged Jose's job by distracting Spurs owners away from his poor performance as manager. And let's not trot out the injuries excuse, every team has injuries!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not every team loses their two main strikers at the same time for a period of three or four months. In fact I suspect Spurs are the only club in Europe to do so.

Wumming aside the whole premise of "indefinitely" isn't something that is workable past a certain point is it?
The April date fair enough. But if things go on into June/July/August there surely has to be a cut off point?
*NB. I'm not making statement here just asking the question
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree. Football is a massive billion pound industry, as is the likes of Sky sport etc and all teh associated stuff.
If we get the all clear in October to start matches again, would we finish this season and then write off eveything until the EUros in the summer? No because teams need to play 38-50 games, Sky TV needs to televise x amount of games, etc etc.
If games restarted in October then yes they could get the whole season in, forget the domestic cups and reduce internationals and cramit in. It does not work if you first have to play 10 games left over from 19/20 season, plus UCL/Europa.
Like all business and sports, they will have to take a hit and move on.
Clubs finances are structured in playing a whole season. Clubs are better off taking whatever they lose from this season, move on and start afresh with as much normality as they can with a new season, 38+ games etc to bring that continuity and cash flow back. This will be necessary otherwise some clubs will be at real financial risk. For this reason a 20/21 season of 19 matches is not feesible. It halves revenues so will not be viable. No club could afford this. The bigger picture is getting through this and returning to normal. How the 19/20 fixtures fit in to this for most clubs is not relevant to their long term future.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You also forget the three possible games for the FA Cup from season 2019/20 that would also have to be played.
Yeah lets go back to getting crushed 7-2 and 3 nil away to Brighton. Not mention bottling a final in the first minute
I guess you're a sissoko fan though luka?
We were always getting beat 3 0 and 7 2 pitch poch tbf, except that season where we never lost by more than 1 goal and went the whole season unbeaten at home. But nah judge it on two games.

Dunno where you get the idiot idea from. Bizarre
They have suspended the season indefinitely, for an unspecified period of time, that could change at any time, but it won`t be for a good while yet.
There has to be a cut off point though, so as to not impact next season. I don`t see the logic in messing around with 2 seasons in a row if it can be avoided.

Because of who is sitting on top of the league. If Arsenal (the team these plastic mugs should actually be rivals with) were top Spurs fans wouldn't mind continuing and finishing the season. Odd bunch that spurs lot.

It does make me laugh when we get called glory hunters or plastic fans because we have been part of the so called big 6.
We don't win naff all and are charged a kings ransom for the pleasure of watching our team underachieve.

Hounslow, we were both at the final and I'd honestly argue to anyone that there were more spurs fans in the stadium that night. In Madrid we were outnumbered by far but I put that down to our stadium being open to show the game, hence those with tickets didn't need to travel so much.
