I still dont know if he is genuinely a 'star' or if people just think that because he is being compared to the buffoon standing next to him.
No star in this crisis so far.
he wouldn't need to be a star if the Tories hadn't been messing the country up for the last 10 years

Will be interesting if he ever makes it to PM. In terms of Tories and who is coming out of this with any credit he is pretty far up the list. Will this country ever vote "him" in though.

The colour of his skin will put off many Brits from voting him in.
He won’t be a star when all this is over and the National debt has skyrocketed, bringing about years of austerity, again

and he was part of the same administration that forced austerity on us 10 years ago. The Tories can burn in hell for what they’ve done.

Pretty sure that the measures he has announced had to be verified by the PM first.
He's been in the job 10 mins. Bit early to tout him as the next PM. However there was a certain John Major who had a similar, short rise to the top.
Also Tory voters certainly would't vote for a bloke who looked like him or had a name like his.

Agree with the OP. I don't think the colour of his skin will put many off. He wasn't responsible for the austerity, and he is exceeding my expectations now
Plus who has he got to beat?

The only reason he can announce the measures he has is because of the decrease in national deficit.
We wouldn't have been able to run against this debt without that reduction, regardless of how the interest rates are now.

Maybe if he stepped in were Johnson were forced to resign. However the idea of the Tories winning the next election after this sh*tshow is just too depressing.

The best socialist chancellor in modern times.

I think there is an element that he's looking good based on his PM stood next to him. However to be fair he has articulated things clearly which is a good thing at times like these. He certainly looks more prime-ministerial than his boss.
