Yeah the death rate will be nowhere near 15%, not even close when all is said and done, that is the type of scaremongering we could really do without.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not scaremongering at all, just posting the hard cold facts. The death rate in China is 4%, almost all cases closed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is scaremongering.

You know very well how these “facts” are not representative of reality yet still put them up on here.

What else was the reason?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can put facts between quotes, but they are facts

I am specifically mentioning closed cases and posting links to the data. How is that misleading and scaremongering?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because there was no qualification on these “facts”.

Look if you don’t agree; fine. Leave it there but I’m not the only one suggesting that a post put up with these “facts” isn’t misleading.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The qualification is in the link I posted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope. Just raw data

But as I said if you don’t agree it’s fine. No diiick measuring here. I’m quite happy to leave it.

The official figures posted on sites stating the stats are always going to be out of date by the time the majority of folk sees them. There are so many new uncounted cases, or possible cases that could skew the actual live count.

But whatever the real figures are, it still shouldn't detract from the fact that there are still a persistent ignorant minority who are indirectly/directly contributing to increasing these figures. Not just here in the UK, but globally.

28 deaths in the U.K. today. Horrible but isn’t that a far lower number than the last couple of days?

Might be wrong.

I’ll take every sign of improvement.

We are doing widespread testing. If the UK did the same its numbers would rise dramatically as well. It's a good thing seeing the numbers climb because each case is one less case hopefully walking the streets.

Have you guys seen how the Italian officials are handling dissidents who flout the lockdown in Italy?

We’re too soft over here. Also doesn’t help when you get s who intentionally cough into passerbys’ faces.

We need the laws in place. They come into effect tomorrow so hopefully we can take a heavier hand.

I do know of two sites closed down by the police today in London due to them not adhering to the Public Health rules.

Problem in the UK seems to me to be that Boris doesn't want to directly tell people what to do.

One of the biggest problems I see with this is the amount of supermarket runs people are doing as well, it is by far the worst place you can go but it sounds like some folk are going every bloody day.

At times like this, it really shows how different communities regardless of location show self discipline.

There was even talk of how the UK in general isn't used to 'being told what to do' etc. Now, seriously isn't the time to act all 'Stiff upper lip'.

Thankfully it's a credit that the majority do abide by the advice set out. (Except in panic buying mode)

Currently, probably the most likeliest place that you can catch this virus now outside of hospitals. Imagine how many people touch the handles on those trolleys.

But even then the hand washing is only a small part of it. Still far more likely to get it from the air with stacks of people around. Think I read that a sneeze can remain airborne for five hours or something.

Probably a good idea to wear those disposable gloves when doing essential shopping.

Supermarkets/food shops should make this compulsory along with face masks.

This.
Corporate and media driven now for decades.
Strangely though, the 'me me me' crowd have been no where near as financially successful as those who have continually driven this mantra?

Strange times.
