I think you need to achieved more than Best to get into the top 10.

I'm sure kids in the year 2035 will not hesitate to point out both Messi and CR7's lack of World Cup trophies whenever these debates pop up.

It’s going to be hard for anyone to dismiss Messi and Ronaldo in the future. Put aside just how amazing they are for a second, and whether there will be others that achieve what they have. Consider the longevity of their achievements and the impact that has in the millions of fans that witnessed it. They’ll be unanimously declared the two greatest ever as generations that saw the greats before them will die out. Look at how mental their fanboys are now, that wide scale opinion won’t change for them.

Drop Ryan Giggs into the George Best era and people would be saying he was a world beater. Bring Pele into today’s game and no doubt he’d be good...but not Messi or Ronaldo good.

Needs more Rooney

Of all the players I have seen live he was No 1.
I've seen every United player live up to Rooney. Plus of course, all the players they played against. Also various foreign stars.
He could dribble better than any, could tackle, was good in the air, nerveless in front of goal,
Had imagination and impudence.

He was better than the Ronaldo at United, but he improved at Real. I'm not saying he is the best of all time, there are many I haven't seen live, Messi for example, but the best I have seen personally

What seperates Best and Pele from modern football legends is that they did the same insane skills on a crappy pitch and waterlogged leather balls that weighed twice what a modern ball does, and made it look easy.
I can't imagine George Best playing for our current team (without the drink). I don't think he's have that issue in today's game.

But that's the point.

Back in the day, people probably thought we'd be writing poems about Roberto Baggio for more than 50 years.

How did I forget Ronaldinho? I'll squeeze him between Zidane and Romario then

Plus there was never any doubt. His debut was away, a habit Matt had, he made his debut at OT at 17 I think, and everyone in the crowd knew they were seeing a star.

How high would you put Kevin Keegan?

Baggio played in an era where many players where many players were in the conversation regarding the best player in the world. Never, ever has there been a period in football where two players have dominated the game like these two have. They’ve defined a whole generation of football and its fans.

So when we consider this, and how nostalgia always defines older fans, it’s going to be difficult to dismiss them given just how many people in the world right now have witnessed what they’ve done.

KK, very high, less talent but dynamic. Not the best Liverpool player I've seen though, that was Kenny. I can't do à list of them in order, and it's all opinion.
I would probably put Ronaldo at No2 based one game at OT

Saw him play. Great player although not against us as we had a great fullback.

That's true Cal, the only team he didn't star against was Leeds. It wasn't just the fullback, it was the whole team.
