What about people who just really hate seeing Jurgen Klopp happy?

“Conceivably, if they get playing early enough, they can go immediately into next season.

I'm sure the players would relish playing 50 league games and numerous cup matches just before the Euro's.

You tell 'em Gary.

Surely fans Chelsea, Wolves United and Sheff United fans want the season to continue as they still have a chance of qualifying for the CL.

Fans of Leicester will want the season to continue because, if it does, they'll get CL football next season. I'd say Fans of City probably want the season voided as they'd remain defending PL champions next season and it would make no difference to their CL aspirations if the season were voided. They're either going to be banned, of if over turned, they'd qualify anyway.

Fans of Brighton, West Ham, Watford, Bournemouth, Villa and City will all want the season voiding because there will be no relegation.

I suspect Spurs fans will want the season voiding, based on the assumption that their position last season will get them CL next season. They've embarrassed themselves enough this season, so they'll be keen to end it before the embarrass themselves even further.

Yep, City fans are dying for the season to end when they're favourites for both the FA Cup and Champions League.

Yeah, that's Norwich City. Given that Man City aren't in a relegation position.

And whilst City are rightly favourites for the FA cup, we all know that CL is a step too far. They're happy just qualifying for the CL; a bit like Arsenal used to be.

Why does Gary Lineker think he's so important these days? If he was made of chocolate the jug-eared bell would probably eat himself.

He's full of shizzle.

It'll be interesting to see if he takes a pay cut now there's no footy.

Last season Arsenal finished with 70 points and this season they have 40 points with 10 games left. I can't see Arsenal reaching 55 points this season and City are already on 57 so I think they're safe.

If the season can restart but the schedule is tight then just cancel the leagues and let the cup competitions continue.

Probably just the right amount of games to fit in.

I mean if this season is voided they will go off last seasons finishing spots. If city ban is upheld Arsenal would get that final CL place as they finished 5th
So they will want the season voided/cancelled

I imagine it's only a matter of time before all cup competitions are cancelled, and rightfully so, to free up as much time as possible for domestic leagues to be concluded.

I think so. After all, the league is the most important of all domestic and European club competitions. To cancel the PL, in favour of completing the CL, would only serve to identify the CL as more important than the PL.

I'd say everyone wants the season to end, if for no other reason than they are desperate to see some footy! but not at the cost of next season running in a fairly normal way. There's no point ruining 2 seasons.

Most people see the bigger picture, beyond whether LFC claim the title or not. Most would say they deserve it anyway. Its the relegation and promotion, and UCL qualification that are the bigger issues here.

Teams like Leicester would be desperate for this season to end properly, as would the likes of Leeds/WBA etc. It would be worth 10s of millions

I think people underestimate the logistics of now completing the season and letting the new season start in a timely way - traditionally the play-offs roll on for weeks after the season ends. What about the FA Cup? The UCL? All this has to be completed and then a break to allow for planning of the next season and a break for players before next one starts.

It has to restart in early June IMO - complete last 10 games of the season and play offs etc over the next couple months. 3 - 4 weeks off and start next season a couple weeks late. If it starts to get beyond that, say 4 weeks late, next season is under threat.

Thus is a good point. All I can add is that people are also underestimating the consequences of not giniahingbyhe season.

They think the season will be scrapped and clubs will just wait for next season. It doesn't work like that as scrapping this season means losing perhaps a billion in revenue. Half the clubs would be in trouble immediately.
