Furlough Decision Reversed

Absolute fair play IMO. Infact, I think reversing it shows they are willing to hold their hands up and admit they were wrong and will listen to the fans.

Come out of this very well IMO.

Are Liverpool, and their owners, really bleeding money?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course they are. No money coming in and the same outgoings. No different to most at the moment, just different scales.

Dunno if it helped but I’d written to Peter Moore’s myself.

Yeah this. I was extremely disappointed with the original call, but like you say they’ve listened, admitted their bad judgement and reversed it.

People saying the damage has already done are just being daft.

Cannot see Levy doing the same.

Term, well yeah but the way it’s worded suggests it’s severe, and that the club cannot afford to pay its non playing staff. Unless I’ve read it wrong.

Yes. Right now every business outside retail will be bleeding money. Most EPL clubs have extremely large expenditure. Combination of that and with no money coming in is a recipe for disaster for any entertainment based business.

No business could sustain this for prolonged periods.
It's quite silly when people pressure others to make decisions based on emotions.

If they hadn't reversed it then your anthem wouldn't have been sung with the same feeling, at least for a while<<<<;

Won’t impact our transfers at all even if it’s say 300 people they furloughed , it would only be. Max of £7500 each which is c £2m - nothing in turf terms . That’s why the clubs decision to furlough was stupid. Fair play for reversing it

Nope. We are the opposite to the "peoples club".

Fans of other clubs should be grateful. We were the guinea pigs for what the executives of most other top tier must have been considering. Loads saying they’d turn their back on their own clubs if they did the same, now we’ve made pretty much ensured others will have to follow suit.

Another bunch of richbastards being shamed into pretending they DO care afterall...how nice...
They’re all at it and mostly not involved in football but this is a good (reversed )decision.

Over to you, Daniel

Absolutely the CORRECT decision....it seems my article resonated with the club anD they have acted accordingly. ...no need to thank me 😊

Have you seen the last Financial Account? Go to companies house and go through the outgoings. See for yourself.

Yeah will take a ballsy chairman to announce they are doing it now.

Don’t see Levy changing his mind though

Oh come on Term. Don't be making out it was a good thing, it was a foul up. And I can't imagine Bournmouths board taking any notice of it either way

I think you’ve read it wrong. It is severe, but I think he’s emphasising the uncertainty and the fact that it could have a massive impact if this drags on.

Good to see FSG again taking on board the fans opinion and reversing a bad decision, not the firdt time.

Was bad they even tried to do it but reversing it now is a good outcome.

Glad the club have changed their position on this and as Baz said PR damage has really already been done, but alas, there is some redemption as we've changed course. We live, we learn and we all make mistakes. At least we've been big enough to admit it and are not following through with the government handout.

Where did I say it wasn’t a mistake? There’s some serious cases of selective reading going on around here at the moment.....

I was listening to TAW earlier they were saying that Frulough is more commonly used in America so maybe they didn't think it would be as badly received as it was, but you'd have thought they'd have gauged opinion in the UK first.

Sorry, I meant big clubs. Should have been more specific

i was disappointed it even got to this stage, had a feeling they would reverse their decision as history shows they do actually listen to fans and have reversed decisions before like the ticket price increase plans. Still have to question why they didnt ask before, and prevent damage to the reputation, who advised them it'd be wise? needs sacking on the spot, poor very poor.

Some clubs might have no choice, but just like the ticket price inc our club theres no need, atleast not at this point. Some seriously poor decisions being made from them but atleast they've got the ball to hold their hands up and right their wrongs.
