Bocanegra was blatantly wrestled in the Dunfermline penalty area right in front of Brines.

Could it be Brines is a keech referee?

BH, I think you might have a point there.

keech we can understand, but visually impaired?

Seven, do you honestly believe that he intentionally made this mistake?

With a pair of green tinted specs its amazing with yee can see !!!

or

soon to be 10 points behind, humped in the OF game and beat by St J at home - "aye but Brines never sent aff Naismith"

if it was intentional then it wasn't a mistake. so I must dismiss your premise.

Let me ask you a pointless rhetorical question in return. Do you think a referee has ever made an intentionally dishonest decision during a game in Scotland?

Scooby - if you need green tinted specs to see an intentional elbow from Naismith then you should invest in a pair

Of course he should be watching the ball, its called keeping up with play. In addition theres around 20 bodies in the penalty area at a corner, all grappling with each other. Its not possible to have eyes to see every incident and then watch several slow motion replays to help make your mind up.

following play and watching the ball is not the same thing. Does the refs watch the ball when it is floated in from a corner or should his eyes be on the players?

Old firm goldfish bowl guys.

Surely Celts should be talking about how poor they were against Rangers..............or even looking forward to Udinese. But no,focus on Rangers players elbows or finances or refs.
Are you trying to avoid talking about Celtic and football these days bhoys?

Seven - in answer to your question - yes. I've played in games where a ref has been a homer and given very dubious decisions to the opposition. Do you believe Brines is guilty of a similar offence?

bluebells - my point exactly

when the wheels start to come aff - its where is that Tinfoil hat - if this was a Caley player for example would there be questions of where the refs eyes should be

Yea,funny how some people come over all fair play and sporting when there is a chance of getting a Rangers goalscorer banned.
Takes the heat off lenny and the likes of Sammy for a while I suppose, until Udinese tank them.

Cruising - how can you know the ref was a homer and you just didn't have your tin foil hat on?

Is Brines guilty of cheating? I have no idea. Just like I don't know if Naismith deliberately elbowed his opponent or if Roy Keane deliberately tried to hurt Alf Inge Haland. But as sentient human being we are entitled to make a rational judgement sometimes.

Dos - sorry my memory isn't as good as it once was. What Sammy pen are you talking about?

The pressure applied to refs by Celtic undoubtedly influenced officials in old firm games,to the point where refs appeared frightened to apply the rules fairly,in case they were accused of being a Rangers fan, mason, bigot etc.Disgusting tactics by some Celts.
Yet they still lost the league to the weakest Gers team for years.

Seven - it will be the one when Stokes ran into Davis, Stokes being a player of such integrity has never dived for a pen though

u bhoys have cried foul on and off the pitch - got the changes yees wanted but still not happy ????

Dos - It was soft but the type you will see a hundred times a season. So we allow for human error. But some decisions seem to defy any kind of logic and certainly don't stand up to scrutiny when examined later.

Refs and linesmen mess up all the time, but Celtic mount campaigns and infer sectarian and anti-Irish reasons for such errors. That is what makes Celtic's " going to war"and "getting in the faces"of officials tactics slightly more sickening IaM.
