Yeah, i agree. I can't see why he's so disliked, just people jumping on bandwagons i suppose.

At least someone is laying into the shambles so far, mostly the press have been awful.

I fully understand re-asking the question if the caaant is answering a different one as they always do. I saw a lot of people moaning about him talking over them, if he actually is that's not good but from what I've seen it's more the above.

Joy? This no work thing must be getting to you. Absolute tw@t. I would love to dance on his face. He asks politicians questions and then doesn't allow them to answer. He should just have his own talk show where he can talk, since he loves the sound of his own voice.

He's great at working with hindsight also but going by his Twitter statements he puts out, he isn't a guy you would trust to make difficult decisions, in the moment. He knows it all in hindsight of course.

Have actively hated the caant for years
He somehow went from disgraced editor who published fake pictures of our troops pisssing on and torturing Iraqis into some pantomime villain on BGT and beyond
Was quite the PR turnaround

However, he is pretty much the ONLY ‘journalist’ in the media to be using his mainstream platform to call out the government on their response to this crisis.

He's more interested in attacking the politicians and trying to worry people more than they already are than he is in actually asking questions.

Don't know why anyone would agree to be interviewed by the cuuunt.

———

Because the answers they start to give are miles away from an actual answer to the question. Politicians rely on being allowed to talk to give their spiel but they need someone tough to keep their answers in their ‘lanes’

A handful of things he does are good, the majority of the time he's a muppet.

He's the leading voice in the UK media on Corona, the idea he is scaremongering is ridiculous when the UK is fast becoming the worst impacted European country.

He's doing the right thing, in his way.

I don't watch much of him as he annoys me so much but when I have watched him, he asks a question, they start to answer then he butts his stupid slimey little face in, making comments and not allowing them to answer. It's not like they're Trump ffs, if he allows them to answer, he's going to be able to get a word in, in an interview.

He's a tw@t of the highest order. He's the complete opposite of joy.

Andrew Neil is the master of this. Nobody escapes his direct lines of questioning.

Piers Morgan is a populist, he just goes with the flow. I didn't see him holding this government to account when it came to Brexit or austerity, in the lead up the GE he was licking out their backsides and championing Boris in getting Brexit done!

The bloke is a cretin, and even though it's good to see him showing up the Tory lowlives constantly he's about 4 months too late with it.

When all he has to talk about is brexit or gender then he's not worth listening to, on corona however he's saying what needs to be said.

I just wish he’d dump that silly cow Susannah Reid, couldn’t stand her when she was on BBC either

He was talking to someone the other day about essential work and the person said “well is your programme essential work?” The she butted in saying “actually it is, we’re giving out essential information”

Yeah, like there isn’t 24hr rolling news programmes doing just that, silly cow

Agree with all of that apart from the last bit.

Put it this way, without the patefaced caant who loves the sound of his own voice, who else is stepping up and not letting them get away with their non answers?

Yesterday when Helen Whately laughed during the interview... what a cow. Piers fiiisted her verbally for that indiscretion

Haven't watched him but from what I have read it sounds like for once he's actually doing something useful and trying to hold the government to account.

The press have been a disgrace covering this crisis. The government have done a woeful job and should be held to account but nobody has the minerals to point this out.

I think it sums up the state of the media in our country when facking Piers Morgan's chat show is the most feared slot for a political interview.

Can’t abide him but the enemy of my enemy etc
All the others are letting them get away with it all.

Holding someone to account would include letting them answer for what’s going on. Piers just shouts and shouts and then ends interviewing them.

You finish up none the wiser after watching his interviews.

I usually cannot stand Morgan, he is just a click bait presenter. But he does seem to be holding the Tories to account over the lack of preparation over Corona, so I commend him for that.

He is however a bully of the highest order. Always tends to pick on weak people. Put a boxer in front of him on the TV and he slobers all over them.

He should get a slot on the daily PM questions.

Some of the questions that get asked by media are the same repetitive questions which get the same repetitive answers which leads to nothing.

You are wiser to the fact they haven’t even bothered to check their figures tho
Which should be unacceptable anyway.
Yes he’s a caant but his caantishness is somewhat useful in these times.
Can’t wait to go back to hating or ignoring him tho

When it came to Brexit, all Morgan did was pander to Farage and the Right Wingers. He did zero on the questions of what impact Brexit is going to have on the majority of poor people.

He is a typical populist. When he interviews his mate Trump next, he won`t ask him a single question that may hurt him.

Not for me, I’d rather a proper debate than a hysterical person having a meltdown tbh

BBC breakfast are a far better viewing for this type of stuff.
