Nah
Yah
They beat you home and away.
It's all well and good almost winning a weak premier league, but when you actually came up against a real big boy, they sent you home crying.
If they were in the Premier League they'd probably be below even Chelsea.
I do maintain that Liverpool where fortunate in both precious CL runs to come up against possession obsessed attacking focused teams. Especially in the 17/18 run. Had they faced an Atletico or Juventus it would have been a different story.
It just highlights the difference in class between the PL and other European Leagues. And it puts into perspective how different winning the premier league currently is compared to 10-15 years ago when Sir Alex Ferguson and Mourinho were winning exponentially stronger leagues containing teams that dominated Europe at the time.
Our current teams (liverpool included) get bullied in Europe. Chelsea got bullied by Bayern, Tottenham got bullied by Leipzig, Liverpool got bullied by Atletico etc.
