I would expect top 4 and a trophy from Jose next season. Personally, I am not too fussed with domestic trophies, so if he gets top 4 I think he's done a good job. We won't have CL next season, possibly not even Europa (and even if we do you don't need to play any first teamers until the knockouts) so I expect us to be strong in the league.
I want to see some progression in the football being played and not going into big matches like with a league 2 team's mentality.
I want to see that Jose is capable of managing young talent and want to see Ndombele progress under him.
Imo behind closed doors helps us. We're a poor record at new WHL so won't lose out on much.
I agree, Jose needs to step up and I think he will.
Don, The key to Spurs winning something is to stop this ridiculous stupid injury list they have every season, where two or three key players are all missing for long periods at the same time.
Spurs still have a decent enough squad, if they can get their best team on the pitch, more often than not. Losing Kane for three months most seasons now is a complete nonsense. Then you get other players, who seem to have inocuous small injuries, and you don`t see them for weeks.
Given a clean bill of health, then Spurs can improve massively on this season. I am always hopeful of better days just around the corner. Ridiculous really how a team like Leicester, without being arrogant are doing so well, with a 33 year old striker, and just a couple of decent players. Most of their team are bang average. Maybe they have a will to win, more than the Spurs players.

I totally agree Sandy, I think Leiceseter are bang average to. They were bang average when they won the title to, but had so much heart and desire, which dragged them through it. Plus they had bottle, which Spurs just don’t have. Time for us to step up to the plate now mate, it’s been far to long. The injury thing I do agree to, but it’s about time Mr Levy buys a decent back up striker for Harry mate. I’m not talking about a winger come forward, I’m talking a proper number 9 back up.
Honestly no idea but it’ll probably be a let down

it's about even for the first team and Leicester probably have a stronger bench but then Leicester also have a good manager.
Spurs of course should be doing better than they are. Few signings in the right areas could completely transform the results.
Our bench would be
Gazzainga, Sanchez, Fernandes, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Lamela, Bergwijn
Obviously Lo Celso should be in that starting line up though
Plus Dier, Sessegnon, Tanganga, Parrott in reserve

We do just been pretty injury prone the last 18months.
Give us Ndidi & pereira and id be over the moon with our squad
Sorry mate, but Vardy/ Kane equal? not a chance. Vardy is an excellent prem striker, but Kane is one of the best strikers in europe, if not the best. Kane> Vardy any day of the week, not even a debate.
Kane is several classes above Vardy, but Vardy is a decent striker. If all are fully fit on both squads, then Spurs easily have a better squad.
God knows what football will look like after all this but one thing wont change... Spurs wont be winning any trophies. We are nowhere near good enough to win anything of note and I don't expect any upgrades to our playing staff in the near future. Don't expect us to make the top 4 whenever this season finishes so would expect that to be our priority next year. A cup would be a bonus but we say that every year
It's all very well saying "if Spurs can get over these long injury lists", but that isn't going to happen. It's the players that are injury prone. They won't suddenly stop having weak ankles/groins/whatever. Underlying issues don't just go away, they need to be managed.
Kane, if used as he has been, will miss several months a season through injury. Hoping for an injury free season from him, at this point, is unrealistic. Similarly other injury prone players.
The only way Spurs "solve" their poor injury record is buying good enough rotation options and giving players like Kane proper rest.
Even if we win a trophy, say the fa cup, and finish top 4 I still think we are looking at Kane’s last season
He wants to challenge every season for the big stuff (league titles and champs league winner)
I think he had finally realised we may get a trophy but it won’t be a consistent trophy haul
I ll be gutted but I won’t blame him...he is too good to be just getting a smaller trophy on his record
Just like sheringham before him ( who I was devastated to lose, especially to United ) but we will continue
Just hope he goes abroad but I’m not sure he will ....United or City for me and I won’t be happy with that

Yeah I think when you take into account injury records etc, Vardy should equal Kane in terms of what he gives to the team, general play, goals etc.
Maybe I don’t watch vardy enough but I’ve never thought he had a good all round game like Kane
He is quick, works hard and is a good finisher
When his pace leaves him (soon I would think) he will be a pretty average striker and most likely won’t be a regular starter for Leicester
Kane has superb hold up play, great passer, good in the air, very good finisher ....he is much better than vardy
The only thing vardy has over him is pace and that won’t be for much longer
I expect us to spend some money on players that Jose wants. I then expect us to not improve in anyway whatsoever, cos he is a tactical dinosaur, until he is sacked 4 or 5 months into the season. We can then write another season off and the search for a new manager begins whilst the new stadium is once again voted amongst the best in the world.

Yes, in terms of technical ability Kane is a better player but I was replaying to the comment that was made, about why Leicester are where they are. I think what Vardy does for the team is equal to Kane when you take into account injuries, general play and goals.
