We deserve to be relegated on our season form end of. It was gonna be us or West Ham.

If West Ham went down the club is finished and so is Karen Brady and the d1l d0 brothers.

Too much money tied up in EPL TV deal to 'bin it'. Title is sewn up but relegation issues to be sorted..

German Bundesliga is a testing ground whether you can play games safely. Due to start 9th May. Saying that German as a country were streets ahead (then again every country was) of the UK in testing, tracking and isolating CV and their casualty rate is 25% of ours.

EPL will make some sort of attempt to play games and will pay close attention to what the Germans do in the Bundesliga with a view to replicating it.

St Mirren our the traps with their statement:

As a club St Mirren has given its full backing to the SPFL’s plans to terminate the 2019/20 season in the Ladbrokes Championship, League 1 and League 2.

UEFA have now paved the way for the unfinished Premiership season to be called without the remaining games being played.

European football’s ruling body have given acceptable reasons for ending the season prematurely, as:

Existence of an official order prohibiting sports events so that the domestic competitions cannot be completed before a date that would make it possible to complete the current season in good time before the next season starts.

Insurmountable economic problems which make finishing the season impossible because it would put at risk the long-term financial stability of the domestic competition and/or clubs.

We believe these are highly sensible conditions as it has become increasingly likely that, firstly, no football will played until next season due to lockdown and social distancing and, secondly, that clubs across Scotland need to receive their end of season fee payments as quickly as possible or suffer serious financial problems.

We appreciate that, in line with SPFL rules, there will now be an EGM on May 12th to discuss the allegations regarding the previous vote on the resolution to end the season.

However, St Mirren’s view is that the safety of the supporters and the survival of Scottish football clubs must be the priority and therefore it is our opinion that the Premiership season should be terminated immediately. This will allow for end of season payments to be made and for clubs to start to plan as best they can for next season.

POV I am at the point now that if it makes Rangers happy I will go with null and void anything just to see a conclusion, fine with me we go for 9 next season, and 10 and so on, its very very wearing and its really hitting the finances of too many clubs either null and void it or award it and be done.

Understand your point Lex but we're bring set up here and Rangers are still calling the shots in Scottish Football.

Note even the statement today calls for contrition on 'all sides'.

Lily livered pash. What have Celtic got to be contrite about? What have the majority of clubs got to be contrite about?

This is a stitch up.

Nah Lex.....those Rangers b@@stards are 'at it'.... 30 games or whatever we've played this season has to mean something.

Overwhelming majority of clubs want to knock this season on the head.....collect their prize money and move on for next season.

We're dancing to the tune of one club and ignoring the majority.

Thing is lex-the decision about finishing the league has already been taken. It can be called at anytime now with Celtic being called champions and Hearts relegated. I don’t think they’ll do this before the EGM though.

Rangers have got the chance now to present their dossier to the other member clubs, and that’s their chance to lobby further for an independent investigation. If the other clubs look at the dossier and don’t find the evidence compelling, then they’ll vote against it. If they feel the contents are damning, or that there is sufficient reason for it to be taken further then they’ll vote for the proposition.

Think we should remember some of the allegations though:

‘ Over the last 36 hours, we have received numerous reports from fellow Scottish clubs relating to attempts to coerce and bully them into voting for the SPFL’s own resolution.’

‘ The SPFL has conducted a process which has been misleading and deeply flawed.

In particular, publishing the outcome prior to all clubs having voted has undermined the democratic process and demonstrated unacceptable standards of corporate governance by the SPFL Executive.

We are extremely concerned that member clubs were not provided with enough information, or time, to allow them to make fully informed decisions.

Also, we are aware several club directors claimed they were being bullied at a time when Scottish football should have been acting in unity to alleviate the financial hardship of many of our clubs. Addressing the latter was one of our primary objectives and the resolution we presented could and should have been progressed.

The SPFL chose to obstruct our resolution which would have given clubs the required financial support, without the pre-condition of ending the season. The fact that this solution was not afforded sufficient consideration defies belief and further underlines the view held by many clubs that the processes and behaviours of certain individuals must now be the subject of forensic examination.

For our part, Douglas Park has already requested an independent investigation into the conduct of the executive. The SPFL appear to have acknowledged the need for an internal investigation – but only an independent investigation will provide satisfactory, credible answers. We repeat our call for the immediate suspension of Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie pending the outcome of the independent investigation.’

‘ The requisition requests that a General Meeting of all 42 member clubs be held to consider calling an independent investigation into:

The preparation and content of the briefing note and papers sent to member clubs with the resolution;
The decision to announce the result of an incomplete vote before all votes had been received;
The decision to disregard the vote submitted by Dundee FC and allow them to vote a second time;
The appropriateness of communications between the Executive of the SPFL and other football governing bodies in relation to completing season 2019/20;
The interaction of SPFL executives with clubs during the voting process including the disclosure to clubs of how other member clubs had voted;
Compliance by the SPFL’s directors with the statutory and common law duties owed by them in relation to the resolution; and
Any other matters which the independent expert considers relevant.
We have received the SPFL’s open letter referring to the narrow scope of their investigation which alarmingly failed to examine wider fundamental issues.

Rangers have made it very clear that we have a dossier of evidence which we will make readily available to an independent investigation.’

‘ The evidence will be provided to all member clubs well in advance of a general meeting to approve an independent investigation.’

I think there’ll be an investigation of some sort, but it won’t be forensic (as it won’t need to be), and we’ll see words like corrupt, cabal, etc being kicked about.

Is insolvency a possible threat to Rangers?

Especially as player values will be down and potential lucrative leagues maybe don't open their window until September. Add in that if we plan a regular season start then their players will be back at work 2H June and wanting paid their deferred wages. Euro money paid out late because they may not finish until late Aug. Fans not paying season money in same numbers as nobody knows what they're getting. Money for transfer instalments due. Know an admin will cost them 15 points in a potential 10 IAR season and 5 the season after.

BTW the SPFL has extraordinary powers to examine the books of member clubs. Section E
